probably can say all 3 had games that they won’t make the portal highlight reels

Goode Galloway and leal are seniors and weren’t much better. Rice either. Ballo was up and down I guess. Kind of amazing we hung in there until the end.

Please find us a coach who can win these close games.

A close game is ok once in a while.  However, sometimes and more than a few should be solid 10 to 20 point wins with an occasional blowout accompanied with a 80 to 90+ percent win record 80 to 90 percent of the time.

A good coach makes sure we don’t end the game losing because of a 10-0 run in 84 seconds either

Perfect reason as to why it was time for Mike to go. If we don’t make the tourney this season will just be remembered as the year Woodson should have never been here

If we don’t hire a coach that is equal to or better than Dusty May it will be remembered that way no matter what happens in the tourney. I like May but am not entirely convinced that May is the next greatest thing since sliced bread. But if he’s anywhere close to the answer at Michigan long term and we don’t change our fortunes, we’ll look back on this as the year from hell.

I hope they make the tourney for the fans sake. But this team isn’t fun. Too few guys you want to root for. I know west coast swings are hard, but the effort wasn’t there from anyone last night. Some of that is coaching, but honestly if there’s one thing a pro coach should know how to navigate better than college is an opposite coast road trip. We came away with the bare minimum we had to have, which is a small positive…I guess.

build the statue! Didn’t have his best night BUT I love me some Luke Goode .

big ten officiating continues to be a massive hurdle between the big ten teams and winning a national title .

Just my opinion......the game wasn't called poorly yesterday.  And I'm a guy who is always complaining about officiating.  The defensive foul they called on Rice was really the only head-shaking call I can think of.

Agree to disagree . I thought it was pretty bad no way a college basketball game is what was it like 21-7 in foul calls .

but again I’ve watched Big Ten basketball my whole life . I’ve also coached HS sports the last decade and the officiating at the HS level in Indiana is more consistent than the Big Ten Basketball . What other explanation for why the conference hasn’t won a title since 2000?

im not a huge fan of this team . Not a Woodson defender at all glad he’s kicking rocks at the end of the year . They had there chances and Oregon made plays and played a little harder when it mattered. But that was a little absurd IMO

Oregon is a tournament quality team.  If you want to tune yourself up for the tournament, you play a team like Oregon.  I thought we were in good position to beat a tourney team on the road in an unfamiliar venue.  We didn't play great down the stretch and we still could have won.

You have to be tough and play like a man if you want to go deep in the tourney.  Rebounds, 50/50 balls, defense has to be a must or you will not win.

The ONE thing the announcers said that I agree with last night is that Oregon never stopped on any possession.  They made rebounding difficult.  They put down in interior put backs.  They made clutch shots to always stay one step ahead in that game.

By the way, the officiating was horrendous last night.  How could you say that it wasn't?

I like it that Woodson drilled the officials! Goode knew it too, he's a smart player. Woodson has nothing to lose and it's past time officials get called out! I agree it's a big reason why the conference hasn't had a national title winner since 2000!
