Class of '66 Old Fart

IUBB @ Washington - Saturday, 03.01.25 @ 6:00 ET on Peacock

Recommended Posts

Reneau with a season high, just getting over flu?  No way he could have been 100%.  Great game for Malik and Luke.  Leal is a defensive Hawk.  That Leal down court pass to Galloway for the breakaway dunk was an exact replica of the one from the Purdue game.  Those two must practice that a lot.

I hope to see those jerseys 2-3 times per year.

That was fun!  Stuck to the game plan and besides a few I’ll advised takes from Carlyle and some bad turnovers from Rice/Gallo, we played very, very well.

Amazing how much more "playing well" trumps anything else.

Trey only had 1 TO. Rice gets wayyy sped up.

That's one of the more impressive performances we've had in years. Washington is not good, but it was still an important road game and we dominated start to finish.

For me, this team flew 2300 miles across the country and got a win that we needed and expected. Now let’s travel 300 miles south and whip up on those boys in Eugene. We get this game, I start gettin real giddy like about this team.

Remember guys, we beat UT in Knoxville. We may be alright! We lose championship game of BTT, go on to a Final Four. That’ll be ****ed

He's talking about Leal's +26 in 34 min. of play.

Leal is truly tremendous on defense. Both individually and in the way he communicates with his teammates.

I still think he needs to look at the basket occasionally on offense. But I'm not going to complain with these results.
