I think I joined Peegs around 1997-98 and can't remember my username. I got in a huge battle with a guy named Gorkjo about it was time for RMK to step down as coach. He wanted to meet me and kick my @$$ for saying that about RMK. I stayed in those sites for a long time but about 4 or 5 years ago it got to toxic so I left there 

After that I found HSN and then found this site during the last search because HSN went down for a few weeks.

I've always been some version of "Coop" (nickname) on other boards.  Peegs, HSN, and BTB.  I've been on this wonderful platform since March of 2014.  I took a very small break when I got in a serious pissing match with a stalker of a local recruit **cough Austin Boucher cough**.  I haven't looked back since.  I love the family that we have on here.  Like any family, we can kick and scream once in a while but at the end of the day we hug it out.

Peegs was\is a "special" place.  I would lurk in the Peegs Off Topic forum a lot because because the topic of guitars and guitar players would come up occasionally, and I was interested.

There was one poster that would constantly either change his handle or simply create a new account (not sure why), but it was the same person.  You could tell by the way he wrote and who would instantly reply to him.  This poster had the online persona of a clique leader and several other posters would stick by his side.  He would often post about the Grateful Dead but he absolutely HATED Lindsey Buckingham and often posted as much.  I don't know if Lindsey hit the guy's dog over the head with his guitar or what but his disdain for Buckingham was unmatched.  

One day I got brave and simply had to state that Buckingham is a great guitarist with his own unique style, and I couldn't quite understand the dislike this poster had for him.  Big mistake.  I got cyber jumped in the Peegs back alley but not only by that poster but his cronies as well and thrown into the virtual dumpster!  

I know this story is rambling but just trying to give a little big of insight of how crazy it could be there.

So if this person is here and reading this, Lindsey Buckingham kicks a**!

I joined the old peegs site in the mid 90s, with a user name close to or the same as my current one here. At some point I forgot my password and created another account under user name minneman. I stayed on the rivals site and didn't follow peegs when they left. This was until a few years ago. I didn't really post on there much.

After that, I went to HSN under username go_iu_bb and was on there for a while. I still go there occasionally.

When HSN kept crashing during the last coaching search, I ended up here.

Started out like most posters on here over at the original HSN 1.0 and then followed everybody over 247 and then found out about HSN 2.0 and in the process started posting on here. I just like TV characters just like to use them as a board name for fun.

Well, where to start?! lol. I first joined ESPN and Peegs during the Davis era under jaybob62863. Was never a fan of Peegs but posted on ESPN for a little bit until I found Scout. Loved it there and became a Mod with Milehi (r.i.p.) under John Decker. When he left, the person in charge just wasn’t the best to deal with so Milehi, ColonialCrester (r.i.p.), and I got together and created the original HoosierSportsNation with @Naturalhoosier and @johnsoniu - if I’m missing anyone I apologize!! I will never forget with Natty because during the process a few names were floated around that were only basketball related, and he wanted it to include all sports. 
 

It became thee place for posters and we grew like crazy. Unfortunately due to the growth, it got hard for Colonial to keep footing the bill for, and when 247 came calling, we decided to join them so the cost was on them. It was okay but just never felt like home, and it was hard to get things done with 247 running the show.

After some time, I decided to leave and came to BtownBanners to help take the board over with Natty and a few others. Was going great for the longest time. For a few reasons, I announced I was leaving the board. When I did that, Jerrod Morris from Assembly Call reached out for me to take over their boards, so I brought several with me to run it. Jerrod was awesome, but that current message board wasn’t up to par with others and it was a struggle to keep posters. After some time, I had just got extremely busy and unable to give them enough of my time that was needed so I stepped away. It was from that point that I really took a break from the boards, which I’ve never really gotten back into until now. 
 

It’s been an awesome ride and will continue to be. Made some friends throughout the years, especially Natty. Have had the pleasure of meeting a few of you in person, like @HoosierReb01, Arlington, and a few others. Hope to meet others in the future if we do any meetups and such. 
 

The Mods here definitely do an awesome job, major hat tip to them for making this the premier place for discussing IU sports.

Holy Fist Fight, Batman!  I remember Gorkjo and the vitriol.  And I remember some posters were real terrorists.  Like a pack of snarling dogs and ankle biters and just mean.  That was on Peegs.  Didn't he change from one site to Peegs back then?  Oh, GO IU BB just posted it was Rivals.  That is what I remember...never really frequented Peegs.

Wow...that was rough.  Glad I found BTB and glad it is still here doing a great job.

Lol that's classic. Buckingham is a genuinely unique player, and some of his rifs are really hard to play. I'm a fellow electric guitarist btw,, and I know Stu is at least a wanna be player who probably has accidentally with jitters spilled his specialty coffee all of his guitar after consuming his 10th cup of the day.

I will say the single best thread I've been on was on the Our Hoosier Board site.....it was the "Robbie Hummel Photoshop" thread.  Had hundreds of entrants.....that was a single Robbie Hummel picture to start with, him flexing and yelling.  My best entry took his upper half and had him lying on his back giving birth.

So peegs sounds like an interesting place. I remember I was on twitter mentioning why I felt Woodson should be gone and someone said  I was “ probably some crack pot from Peegs”.

It was back in the day when he was on Rivals. I didn’t follow him over to his new site and the old one kind of died. It’s still there but not the same from what I recall. Haven’t stopped in forever. Maybe his new board is just as crazy, idk. I think some of the wilder posters didn’t follow him over tho.
