Imagine if he had really tried for the past 4 years... going through the motions and spewing platitudes isn't coaching... unfortunately for Woodson, it's way too little, way too late...

Well said and very true!

This reminds me of one of when I would give someone their performance review, and if they didn’t change I would have to take certain measures.  They bust their humps, pun intended, for about a few weeks or month but then they revert back to their old ways.  A leopard can’t change his/her spots, they always revert back to their old habits!  Yes, way too little and way too late!

Searching the internet:

The NCAA basketball quadrant system is a way of categorizing wins and losses based on the NET ranking of opponents played12. The quadrant system is broken down into four sections, with the top two quadrants having the most importance2. Here is how the NCAA breaks down its quadrant system1:
  • Quadrant 1: Home 1-30; Neutral 1-50; Away 1-75.
  • Quadrant 2: Home 31-75; Neutral 51-100; Away 76-135.
  • Quadrant 3: Home 76-160; Neutral 101-200; Away 136-240.
  • Quadrant 4: Home 161-plus; Neutral 201-plus; Away 241-plus.

Last night, Indiana was away with an NET ranking close to 60.  And OSU was at home with an NET ranking close to 29 or 31.  So that is a Quadrant 1 win or extremely close to it.  Remember, the final rankings will look at the end-of-the season NETs.  So depending on how these teams do the rest of the season, the NET rankings may go in either direction...changing which Quadrant the teams are in for a past game.

To find the NET of every Division 1 team, I search for Kenpom or Pomeroy.  They are updated soon after each game.  At a point in the season, I believe that the NCAA may start posting their own NET.  I have read that they are very similar but have not verified that.  It is close enough.,.

Thank you

I don't remember the poster, but someone was pushing for Leal to start last year and earlier this year.  I believe our record when Leal plays over 20 minutes is excellent.  I know a counter argument can be made for the reason that's the case, but I would love to see Leal start.  It helps to have a guy on the court not looking to score and willing to do the other things necessary to win.

You got to play the guys that make more $.  It is an unwritten rule in pro sports...

Leal does a lot of positive things, but he needs to look at the basket sometimes on offense. As he plays more, he will start getting on scouting reports, and his angles to make the extra pass will go away if his defender knows he's not a threat to score.

I do believe this is the way that Woodson operates.

Yeah, it's largely about ROI. If the 'I' is large, then the expected 'R' is likewise large.

And that is a telltale sign of incompetent management...

Back in Lunardi’s First Four Out haterrrrzzzz

"First Four Out" is still out. Kind of like that there's no such thing as "a little bit pregnant".

Back in the day, imagine a 14-5 IU team being projected to miss the tournament. Incredible the damage that's been done to this program.

Well we’re paying the price for that non-con schedule now. Yes could still get in by doing well in conference but could’ve made it a lot easier on themselves playing / beating better teams in non conference
