I found this interesting about what the UCLA coach wants for the student section during the IU game......

DeShaun Foster quote...

question - WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT HAVING STUDENTS DIRECTLY BEHIND THE INDIANA BENCH?

"I'm actually trying to get paddles for them, like Oklahoma State, so we can just beat on the wall right there. But, no, it's a — when I was coming out, that used to be where the recruits sat so it's a good view, but I just hope that our student section is fired up. Just make as much noise as you can and just be that 12th man for us."

Cig and the fellas are shaking in their boots, to be sure.

Yeah there's going to be a good IUFB crowd there, myself included. I'm bringing, +11 to the game. Most UCLA games have a decent representation from the visiting team. I think this year especially because it's the first year in the conference. But it's kind of always been like that for them.

Shake it, shake it, baby!

UCLA's offensive line is suspect.  Watch their two tackles.  Their ground game was awful.  They just squeaked by Hawaii at the end of the game.

They had too many mistakes against Hawaii.  Will they look sharp this weekend?  It is their new coach's first game at home.

Don't think that IU has played no one so far this season.  Yeah, Western Illinois was weak.  But FIU just walloped Central Michigan 52 - 16.

If IU's defensive secondary is good and there is pressure on their QB and we keep mistakes low this game will be in the bag.

Another point on this... I read earlier today that UCLA is on the quarter system, so they haven't even started classes yet. They may not even have a full band, let alone a loud student section. Can't wait to see those NBC crowd shots.

I hate the mega conference mania that has UCLA as a B1G game...but seeing a IU play in the Rose Bowl would be sweet. Winning there? Fantastic! The timing of this game didn't allow it for me :(

"The Rose Bowl, ranked by ESPN in 2024 as the No. 2 college football stadium, offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football, with a variety of options for pre-game celebrations, including tailgate parties, food vendors, activities, exhibits, beer gardens and more.

The Area H Fan Zone opens to all fans from 12:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and is located in Lot H, just outside Gates A and B. The Fan Zone includes a wide variety of exciting gameday experiences, such as tailgating parties, food vendors, activities, exhibits, beer gardens, musical performances and more." Per Gameday Information - UCLA vs. Indiana - UCLA (uclabruins.com)

Then there is the HT on compressed travel plans for IU football to and from UCLA.  And compressed sleeves on the plane... Indiana football's travel plans for UCLA trip explained (heraldtimesonline.com)

There is an article online about UCLA thinking that last year JMU defense is this year's IU defense.  Okay...

Another article said that IU plays a physical kind of football...wow...now THAT is inciteful.

I stopped reading when one headline said that Rourke was the head of IU's snake.

A win on the road against a new Big Ten conference opponent would be outstanding.  A win in the storied Rose Bowl stadium would be the cherry on the top.  Make it so.

Well it starts at 1:30 AM for me.  I am going to stay up and watch at least the 1st quarter, and we will go from there.  I am so ready to believe, but not quite there yet.  Hoping for a good game.

And I HATE the fact that the conference now stretches from one coast to the other.  I understand why, but I don't like it.
