They don't play multiple poop teams after the exhibitions-- the same with MLB, the same with NFL. I just don't find any enjoyment in watching us play Eastern ILL/Sam Houston St/SIUE/UNC Greensboro/Miami OH/Chattanooga/Winthrop ...after we just got done scrimmaging Marian, after we just got done scrimmaging Tennessee. All I got. To each their own. Maybe it is because I grew up in a different era but I get excited for any IU game no matter who we play. You have to realize that guys my age or older grew up with 4 channels and every game on seemed like an event. Today with so many outlets the same feeling doesn't exist for me. In my area we got channel 4 which would show all the IU games or they would be on national TV on NBC. Besides those games we probably had another 4-6 games a week we could watch so it made every game feel more important. That is the reason I don't care if we play UK or Miami of Ohio because I will watch every game. The bad thing back then we were lucky to get 1 or 2 IU football games on TV a year and had to listen to the rest of them in the radio. woodenshoemanHoosierfan 1 Quote

Why don't Indiana and Tennessee just play each other? lol 2 exhibitions and then 7 more games against Delaware State type schools.... it just bores the heck out of me. To each their own. It's giving these lower non P5 schools a chance to pockets some cash for their institutions. It costs money to fly. Not all schools can afford to do this every game. mamasa 1 Quote

And honestly this is a good way to get a team comprised of many new pieces in sync. Starting out of the gate with this group with a loaded schedule would be stupid, and we’ve got the early tournament with high profile games anyway. mamasa 1 Quote

Chris007 Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 How about spending Valentine's Day at Assembly Hall for a home game against UCLA? I think that is on the schedule. ALASKA HOOSIER, thebigweave, WayneFleekHoosier and 4 others 7 Quote
Demo Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 https://x.com/JonRothstein/status/1833183851075567647 Don’t love this. Would rather play against an open system like Hoiberg’s after this team had more minutes together. Still a game you should win. Quote
hoosiersoxfan Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Has the full schedule ever come out this late in the year? I feel like we usually have the big ten portion by now cybergates 1 Quote

Demo Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 1st IU B1G game is home on 12/9 against Minnesota, per Rothstein. Probably the best 1st conference game you could possibly ask for. So the early games are Minny at home and Nebraska on the road. Solid chance to get out 2-0. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
