I’m not getting into any of “who knows inside info and who doesn’t “ around here. But I will only point out one thing: almost all verified national reporters will be pushing out “inside info” that comes from players agents. Most of that info is just agents trying to pump up their players price. It’s the oldest trick in the book and happens every FA season in the pros in every league. That type of reporting is pretty worthless, imo.

Some team is gonna get the highest profile portalizers. I guess that adding Oumar Ballo to IU’s lineup was sweet because of how much he cost, but………….

I’m FAR more interested in seeing if IU wins a lot of games next year.

The smart money is always on the field when it comes to landing a particular player. But that doesn't mean IU wasn't involved, or that you have any actual insight.

Love ya Stu, but this was the mantra last year too. Didn’t work out well. We better get some size, talent, and skill on the roster to manifest wins.

Ok then. I do.  And I’m stating it for fact.  We are gonna get some good players.  12-14 million has to spend somewhere. But not Harris or Blackwell.

I don't have to project. You have already done it repeatedly, criticizing DDV for failing to land any of the Big fish recruits we went after. 

But when Louisville does the same, they are showing they're serious...

I AGREE… we need to get size, talent, and skill. But $$ spent and high profile acquisitions don’t necessarily equate to those goals; great evaluations and money wisely spent accomplishes that.

And if the current staff doesn’t have that skill no bankroll will save them.

Not saying that in a negative way. Just that the portal is chaotic. Could totally build a winning team with guys not currently on the radar.

Makes for an interesting offseason. Best time of year for IUBB :/

Did ANYONE even expect or see Dolson and President Whitten putting out all that money to put Coach Cignetti at the top of the NCAA pay scale. There is more money or at least the ability to get whatever is needed to pay for what they feel will help and benefit IU athletics.

This is reasonable. SA kid.  Burton seems like a high odds addition.  After that.  Let’s see who wants to spend. Teams are gonna miss target A then pivot. That could cost us guys we think we feel good about.

IU needs a brand new roster, they can’t afford to big fish spend right now and get stuck with no catch.

Andershock literally said IU is in the top line for Harris at this point. That was less than an hour ago.
