Reading between the lines, some discussions with players agents has been ongoing.  We likely know a few options already.  If Flory is one, to me, is highly unlikely. But like Dolson has said, if you are starting when the portal opens you are too late and behind.  I don’t give a damn about depth 11-13. I care about 1-10.   And hopefully that will reflect in what we try to build.

I sure hope you’re right… Heck at this point build out spots 1-8!

It’s not like I know him but gonna go out on a limb and guess that our reaction to the ‘26 roster will factor very little into however much DDV does or doesn’t enjoy his offseason.

There are very wealthy people who are fans that will indeed help decide the quality and peace of his offseason.

Can always count on Rabby to bring the hard hitting insight lol

Haha. That was funny. He did clarify that he won’t give out names of players bc they haven’t declared for the portal. So he has heard names that we are in on. Which is good.

Hopefully they stay up longer than a month. Mine faded quickly with the abomination we built last year. Tried to let myself get excited by the optimists. But never believed in this roster. It started with the Enright addition for me.

It was Bailey for me. Never a believer as him being our starting center. I remember having debates about it on here last year. To me it was clear as day he wasn’t the guy to be a starting 5 in the B1G

1-8 for me. I don’t care about 9-10. Use that money to get 1-8 to big ten caliber.

But you also have to find a few diamonds in the rough, players with certain intangibles like competitiveness and toughness, guys we seem to never get anymore....that takes the ability to assess talent not just stats!

Creans greatest sales job was the one convincing everyone that he had to tear everything apart and start at zero needing multiple years to rebuild anything. Those years were miserable.  Even at that, I remember some rumblings in year 3.

In any event, once that spell was broken and we started to win fans were unforgiving of steps backwards—as we should be. And if we had taken a poll a bet a majority of fans wanted him gone well before his firing.

Year 3 was when he list me. If he could coach that team had the talent to finish over .500.

Year 4 I realized there was a problem. Year 5 continued it.  You can’t lose numerous games you should win.  1 or 2 WTF games sure but Crean collected them like they were vintage

Do we kick the tires on TJ Power once again? Or no thanks?

Different style of play obviously but I can see him having Reed Bailey-type issues where his athleticism would play but the physicality of the conference would be a problem.

I was fine with him on the belief that we were getting a real 5 and he was a reserve stretch 4.  No way as a starting 5!

Do we have no kids here in the midwest that know how to play hardnose basketball? Why do we make this harder than it need be?

I'm not even saying Indiana per se!  Just kids that know fundamentals and are willing to give it all while on the court!
