This is how I see it as well. I want DeVries as a 4 more than a 3. I’m sure some minutes at the 3 will happen. But I want a guard driven roster. And it also helps with team defense, as DeVries may struggle guarding opposition wings/SF.

A big question I’ve got that is hard to answer is how much do we have left to spend?  Estimating what we have spent so far is hard (I tried — the range is big), and NIL as we know is kinda fluid (there can be one-off little fundraises for players).

I would guess we can go for one, probably two more pricey Wilkerson type guys, with the rest being role players.

Also how much more playing time do we have to offer? I could be wrong but I would expect a guy like Freeman is aiming to be a featured starter somewhere.

Yup, Freeman and Overton may be a little ambitious since we definitely need a big man IMO. May be able to get two guys for the price of one Wilkerson. I just want a really good top 9 or so. If we can add decent multi year depth beyond that, great.

I think Freeman is the target most likely to announce next. Believe he’s going to go into decision mode soon after his UT visit, which I think may have just ended?

After that Overton is one to keep an eye on. And a few big guys we seem to have made contact with, not sure if we are far along with any of them yet. Probably will hear about who is visiting this weekend soonish I think

I have no idea but don’t you think Easter weekend is probably not a big visits weekend? I could see the coaches working through, given the time structures, but maybe the players just want to hang with their families?

I have no idea but if it’s a quiet weekend I won’t stress.

On the NIL piece… really curious how much Enright is getting. I will root like hell for him since he was the first to really buy in on the ground floor. And I feel much better about his role with Conerway, Wilkerson, and Miles on board. I think he can be a very good facilitator and solid enough on defense. If he is not commanding a relatively large pay day I bet we could spend enough to land 3 more impact players and round out with developmental guys. This team is going to be soooo fun to root for. I hope we get to see a preview during an international trip this summer.

You’re probably right. That said somebody else is always working when you’re not and Easter isn’t IMO a “huge” holiday nationally that everyone celebrates. So I’d think coaches are willing to host any recruits that want to visit that weekend. Maybe there are less of them than usual. But I think with how quickly things move and the money involved that won’t be a major hold up for many. JMO. I won’t be concerned either if it’s quiet.
