Man, people sure do overreact a lot. I wanted Conwell to come to IU but we missed on him. Bummer. 

There are other good players in the portal. The portal is also open for almost 3 more weeks and players are still entering. 

I really hope CDD finishes staff soon, since their previous connections with players could certainly help. I'm guessing at the end of the offseason we'll have 7 portal players and 4 freshmen. I think we'll go with 11 players on the roster next year.

And having been coached by Painter, you know the kid is going to have solid fundamentals. We can hate on Purdue forever here, but Painter can coach. I have zero idea if Colvin would be interested, but he definitely has a lot of upside.

It’s a little exhausting getting lectured as a fan of this program . What do you expect when all we have to go on is a consistent barrage of rumors and vague statements we have to decipher. The program has announced officially nothing since hiring thier HC. 
 

I mean look at Texas . They played a a tourney game , fired thier HC , hired a HC , and announced an entire staff and landed a portal committ yesterday . 
 

I don’t think just one bit of official good news is too much to ask in today’s hoops environment.

Let’s just admit we lost Conwell to Louisville. They had a better season and have the pieces to win right now. 
 

I would take a look at Miles Colvin not as a replace for Conwell , but a solid get on the roster.

He's a total cancer. Gotten one coach fired (Weber) and had another (Laranaga) quit in the middle of the year. Is 70-68 in games he's played in spanning 4.5 seasons, buoyed heavily by a 29-8 season. 

Again, hard pass. He's not taking a home town discount to come be a role player at IU. He's the OG bag chaser. NIL earnings have doubled and tripled since he accepted an $800k bag at Miami 3 years ago.
