My hope for an athletic, good ball handling PG that can hit Free Throws looks more encouraging today than yesterday.   I'm mixed on Pack, don't know that I love it with Conwell and Dix if we can pull them.

Well that's not a very positive thing to say....

I agree with you on this one assuming we can get Dix and Conwell.  I didn't love Enright either.  Gillespie is the type of PG i'd like to get.  Gotta see what else is out there.

No, I said he wasn't ONLY chasing a bag.  Also trying to find the issue with chasing a bag if you are also producing, which he has.

It's clear that Isaiah Wong (ACC POY) and Jordan Miller were the catalysts of that Miami team that went to the F4. Those two left and Miami instantly became one of the worst P4 teams in the country. He played on two Kansas State teams that went 9-20 and 14-17 (that ultimately got Bruce Weber fired) and K-State immediately went to the E8 the following year after he transferred out. I don't think that's a coincidence. I think Pack is a fine individual player, but like Malik Reneau, he's a black hole. He's an undersized 2 guard forced to play point because of his height. He's a good shooter but not a great facilitator and an even worse defender.

I don't mind Pack as an individual player but would have strong reservations with him in a lineup that features Conwell, Dix, and DeVries. That's 4 guns with the same mentality that lack size, length, and athleticism. Not sure many, if any of them, are plus defenders. If that means I'm negative, so the hell be it. I don't think Pack is a winning player.

Lol AH:
Guy spent last April-Nov banging the drum of a Rice/Carlyle backcourt having a FLOOR of a 6/7 seed and pumping them as winning players/good shooters.

Also said that combined with Mack, Ballo, MR we were a lock to have a top 15 offensive efficiency. Blind faith in Woody lmao

Later he says Stirtz isn’t a starter on a good team, meanwhile the kid is the top ranked transfer on 247 despite the thousands who’ve entered.

If AH doesn’t like Pack, pretty safe bet he’s gonna be good for us.

Record of teams Pack has played on:

20-21: 9-20

21-22: 14-17 (Weber fired and next years team went to the E8)

22-23: 29-8 (ACC POY Wong and NBA draft pick Jordan Miller)

23-24: 15-17

24-25: 7-24 (3-6 on a 6 game losing streak when Pack "quit" to preserve another year of eligibility and one more chance at NIL)

I'll pass on him.

"Later he says Stirtz isn’t a starter on a good team, meanwhile the kid is the top ranked transfer on 247 despite the thousands who’ve entered".....also never said that. I said he's not the best player on a top 25 team. If Iowa is ranked in the top 25 this year I'll gladly eat crow. But when Iowa finishes mid to bottom pack of the B10 this year it will be because Stirtz is Iowa's best player.
