Hopefully Trey can tough this out and still play, if anyone missed the preview for BTNs thing on X, he is still hurt as well. He ended up messing up the ligaments in his elbow.

I actually like the draw despite how bad we played against PSU and Nebby. It’s hard to beat a team 3 times in a season. After those two, all bets are off IMO with how well OSU is playing. Illinois is definitely not inevitable at this point. I don’t see a path to beating Purdue unfortunately— we would need help there I think.

The 3 in a row was my thinking as well. It is hard to do. But this is indiana and I kind of expect us to let them accomplish that feat. Another concern is Woodson and leal beating their chests after a 1 point win against msu. Wouldn't surprise me if instead of backing that up we crap our pants. The last concern is simply big 10 tournament has been a yearly disappointment for me since it was inserted. If we are last in conference or 1 in the country it always ends the same. Early exit

So true. I’ll be honest, had they made those speeches after winning the BTT, I would have nodded along and taken the medicine. They were acting like some massive proverbial monkey got removed by 4 wins against floundering teams. Two in which we squandered big leads and one we had to come back from down big. Win the BTT and talk all you want. Maybe Michigan does us a solid and beats PSU? Lol a guy can hope!

One thing is certain....if they run the table Woody is a hero, if they lose the first game, injuries prevented Mike Woodson from making it to the Big Dance! Either way, Mike Woodson will be fine....and that is what is really important!

There has never been a 20 win Indiana team that hasn’t made the NCAA tournament, and we almost always make it with 19 wins. 19 win Wisconsin is a lock and 18 win MSU is a lock already.

I know there’s NET and all that bs and we’re being told by national media that we have no shot at large. If we are 6th in the B1G with and we get past 20 wins after the tournament, we statistically are a team that should be in the field. 

Let’s just go win a couple in the B1G tournament and if we don’t make the dance, we should have every right to be pissed that records don’t matter anymore for P5 schools. I don’t care that this is a “NET/modern statistic/quality of wins illiterate” post

Problem is you're not 6th in the big ten.  You're tied for 8th.  And MSU is hardly a "lock."

I think you circled around to answer of your own question. We're actually NOT statistically a team that should be in the field b/c no matter how many wins we have, we have very few, if any, impressive wins and a bunch of really bad blowout losses to all the good teams we played. Overall records haven't mattered for years. And we finished 6th, yes, but in a bad conference. We'll have to win 3 BTT tournament games to finally get what would be 1 single high level impressive win, even if it's our 21st win overall. We shot ourselves in the foot all season and it's now too little too late (unless we win our first ever BTT).

It feels like a COVID game where they pump in fake crowd noise. No one that's visible looks like they're making the noises you hear. Also, anything that drowns out Purdon't Pete isn't the worst thing.

Rutger can't hit a barn yet alone any of Minnesota's lakes.

It seems worse on Peacock, like the microphones picking up the crowd are set too high. It does sound a little better now, I think they adjusted it some, but it is very annoying and the crowd needs turned down!

Factually, IU is tied for 6th. So are Iowa and Michigan State.  If Michigan Stats doesn’t win tomorrow it’s possible that all three are out.  And honestly, that would be fair.  
 

That said, I think if MSU loses the NCAA is still putting them in….undeservedly IMO.
