80 minutes of Leal, X, Cupps and who knows...maybe even Gunn.....if Galloway can't go says differently.  It's not an excuse (although Woodson will make it one).  It's a roster construction issue.

Anyway, still pulling for the guys in cream and crimson.  Hopefully X plays better than he did against Michigan State because IU needs him to.  That was probably his worst game of the year.  Really could use the X that played against Maryland.

Knowing Michigan basketball, they won't fire Howard after the season.  They'll just suspend him from home games.

I looked it up he was suspended for hitting a Wisconsin assistant upside his head, he was only ejected for charging at the Maryland coach! LOL!

Yeah and Woodson has been nothing short of horrible against PSU. Here’s to hoping he puts his ego aside and adjusts for shooting tomorrow. Bako let it fly, X bring your focused A game, Gallo please surprise us by being ok to play

Not doubting you, or defending Woody,  but am curious as to how Woodys ego led to the PSU losses. They were definitely bad/terrible losses but was his ego different vs PSU as opposed to the game we just won against MSU?

.....as of late the boys do look like they are pushing the ball down the court a bit more, especially on defensive rebound. I feel X's last game, was one of his worst as far as ball security and placement. I just hope they went back to the film and tried to get that settled down. Obviously, with both Penn St. losses X was injured and didn't play. Galloway scored 12 and 11 in both games.

By failing to adjust HIS defense.  PSU was on fire from 3.  A simple adjustment of staying on certain shooters rather than helping changes that.  Without all of those threes maybe IU wins as everything else was pretty even.

By ego I'm referring to his refusal to accept that his brand of basketball -- pound it into and play through the post and ignore the 3-point line -- is outdated and is a major part of why we are not competing - winning at the level of the talent on the team.

That's freaking clear. The team is fighting, we got the W's over the past 4 games -- that's great. But no, it doesn't show he's tempered his ego -- and that was highlighted by his ridiculous statements all about himself on senior night. Imo, his ego has been and remains a real problem. How will we defend the 3-point shot against PSU, and how will we run our O? Will it be the same thing, yet again? If we get pounded by PSU like we have every time we play them under Woody, that will just continue to show his failure to recognize his schemes are bad for IU

That game was such a turning point for me this season. Up until then I kept some hope that some things would click and we'd end up sliding into the tournament as a fairly safe seed. Rutgers was so bad that night. Any competent team beats them by double digits that night, easy. Yet we somehow managed to be worse. What a miserable game of basketball to watch. That game killed my hope no matter how many opportunities were still ahead of us.

I love that BTN's opening B-roll for the tournament includes Edey just blatantly elbowing a Nebrasketballer in the head. Poor guy probably got ejected for having his head in the way.
