IU unveils its alternative jersey

I hope we didn't pay for the new uniforms.  If I remember correctly, several years ago we had an AD that paid a Marketing firm (that his daughter worked at) to come up with an IU mascot.  A million dollars later and no mascot.

the IU fans are all in an uproar over it on social media. The noise from the fans is more embarrassing than the uniform itself (which I think is hideous).

When you’re a winning program this type of stuff is new and cool…maybe a little kitschy, at worst, for the traditionalists.  
 

When you are…whatever IU basketball is…you just look like clowns when you trot this stuff out and it misses. At best, you’re the tony kid on the 6th grade basketball team $250 shoes, the newest sleeves with elbow pads, and fresh new head band, but you can’t make it up the court without dribbling the ball off your foot.  
 

Hopefully they look cool on tv. I don’t mind a black alternative jersey. The pink and baby blue kinda fell flat for me.

I don’t mind the jersey though the models are confusing me no end. But, question: are they also doing something with the warmups? Would think that jersey with the traditional candystripes would be an atrocious look.

I just saw an article on the Daily Hoosier about these alternative uniforms. Needless to say I’m not a fan, but I’m just hoping for a win.  Now wearing these black uniforms when the women host Iowa crosses the line! The Hall is going to be rocking with a WHITE OUT and the fans came to see the Ladies in their Cream and Crimson beat Iowa.  How hospitable of us to honor Clark coming to SSAH by wearing her school colors!  Who thought this was a good idea?  I don’t care if the ladies wear these, but not against Iowa.

The jerseys are atrocious and somehow these are even worse. Not going to lie, I'm impressed because it takes effort to make something as horrendous as this.

It looks like some of the shoe’s Woodson wears with his suit on the sidelines and those are downright fugly too!  We found out who the real culprit is for picking out these uniforms and shoes, and he definitely has poor taste, just like his poor roster construction

I just wish they would show the uniform in its totality and not make it look like some space age cologne ad.  Show the damn product -- player in shirt, shorts, shoes. And show the front and back.

The fact that they haven't tells me that these uniforms will be truly and epically horrendous - moreso that the "sneak peak" images may show...

Gotta disagree with the author. We could be undefeated champs 3 years running and those uniforms would still be horrendous.
