AZ Hoosier Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 I think that is where Dolson can buy him out. Your plan is not good enough and I have Coach Pearl, Cronin or May on line 1 who does have a plan. Here's your check and thank you for bridging the gap. Please feel free to play golf as much as you like at Pfau. If you ever need tickets we will reserve a spot in the balcony for you. “Grab that box and put your stuff in it… “ southsidehoosier, thebigweave and Chris007 1 2

Home Jersey Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 I don't even think Alford is all that and not trying to stir the pot... But could you imagine if we hired him as the HC and Woody as an assistant (which he has plenty of experience in)? Alford could handle being on the road, and Woody could play his "closer" role once they're on campus and sell his NBA background, etc. Sure Alford isn't a world-beater by any means, but way better college coach than Woody. And if he had some better talent here? Who knows... So ready to close the book on this chapter it feels like the rest of this season will take forever.

SamIam Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 From what I can see, I think the narrative has flipped. Two games ago it was "he will be back unless it gets really bad." I would have probably put it at 70% stay/30% gone. Now I see more people wanting him gone than not, but the admin doesn't want to be forced to do it. All Woody has to do is give them an excuse, some hope to cling to and he will stay. I think 3-2 down the stretch might even do it, but as of right now, I think the AD is starting to see the writing on the wall. There are a lot of politics that go on behind the scenes, but when you have fans openly discontent, booing, sounding off on social media, it's hard to get around. The base is toxic right now and if that continues Dolson's hands are tied imo thebigweave 1

His contract runs out in 27 so you're not going to extend him. But if you are a parent of a 25 kid would you send your son to play at IU not knowing who the coach is going to be down the road? JF87 Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 I still think our remaining games are winnable. We do have some talented players. Maybe Woodson goes 3 and 3 down the stretch. That would put us at 17-15 and maybe in the Kenpom 90-100 range. Would that save Woodson's job? I doubt it would help high school recruiting, maybe we could get some portal guys that are just interested in getting paid. I would imagine the boo birds would be out early next year if we don't play well. It could get ugly. I feel like we've already reached the tipping point that we need to move on from Woodson.
