Uspshoosier Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 Curious if the people who think he will be back next year have been to a game in Assembly Hall this year? There is more to it than wins and losses. The program has no juice right now. I would hope that Dolson sees this with his own eyes and regardless of if IU makes a 68 field tournament they move on because it’s definitely in the best interest of the program. When my wife and kids are pointing out that there is a different feel in the building you know the program is in a bad spot. Curious if others that go frequently feel the same bad vibes that I felt last night Hoosier DaDa, Shooter, WeeDerkaNaut and 3 others 6
hper50 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 The idea making the tournament being the determining factor of Woody's job status shows how far we've fallen. Texas fired Shaka after earning a 3 seed in the NCAAT. go iu bb, cybergates, Hoosierfan2017 and 2 others 4 1

Home Jersey Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 Wow, who knew parting ways with Head Coach Mike Woodson is basically the same thing as cutting your nose off to spite your face? Lol. He’s gonna hang 5 banners before he retires! thebigweave, WeeDerkaNaut, mamasa and 2 others 5

Curious if others that go frequently feel the same bad vibes that I felt last night Calbert is giving us tickets for Michigan and UCLA and I'm curious to see what the vibe will be for those games. Ok, he was never "officially" fired.... but would've been if he didn't depart... he was shown the door... trust me on this one Chris007, cybergates and Hoosierfan2017 3

The crowds at AH are not a "sect." They're very large sample sizes that accurately reflect the state of broader fanbase. You may not like how the broader fanbase feels, but it is what it is. I would guess Scott notices the atmosphere at AH is poor, but he's probably looking at concrete numbers like declining attendance and declining revenue/donations related to bball. go iu bb, Hoosierfan2017, WeeDerkaNaut and 3 others 6

hper50 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 I went to the Indy Classic (TAMU-Purdue and Butler-Wisconsin) and couldn't fathom how LOUD the Purdoo crowd was from start to finish. We used to dwarf their crowd at the Crossroads Classic. And I can't believe how far away we are from that. Obviously, the fanbase could be turned out quickly (see: Cignetti), but man. We are not close right now. MikeRoberts 1
Uspshoosier Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 6 years 0 ncaa tourney wins. Some coaches might see the writing on the wall and get out before they have a chance to get fired. Very smart move by Smart to bail before he could get fired. Losing as a 3 seed to Abilene Christian would have probably would have been the nail in the coffin. Great move by him. Just like good move by Enfield to leave USC for SMU this past cycle WeeDerkaNaut, go iu bb, cybergates and 1 other 4

Popular Post Home Jersey Posted January 9, 2025 Popular Post Posted January 9, 2025 The most easily impressed people are the loudest. Beat 2 cruddy B10 teams and a half decent PSU and all of a sudden IUBB and Mike Woodson are back from the dead because the kids aren’t standing around being lackadaisical the entire game anymore. Will Illinois drum us by 20+ in the Hall? Probably. According to some, we should just accept Woodson is as good as IU can ever do in basketball. Upon doing so, absent a top tier B1G finish and a Sweet 16, or a mid-tier B1G finish and a Final Four, I am confident that this will be Woody's last year as the Indiana Coach. And I hope you're right. Is it confirmed that this is Buckner's last year on the BOT? Side note, my mother, former asst to a few IU presidents, attended multiple BOT meetings over the years, knew all of former T's personally, and is amazed at the current BOT and how things are right now.... That's about all I can say. https://trustees.iu.edu/the-trustees/current-trustees/index.html Edit - I see Buckner's current term is listed 2022-25 cybergates, WeeDerkaNaut, thebigweave and 2 others 4 1
