Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk Wow ... your opinion of Coach Woodson has taken a serious turn toward optimism and cutting him lots of slack. I don't think a seven seed is "doing his job" and I'm surprised that you do. I think that doing is job is assembling an excellent, balanced roster, contending for conference titles, and giving us a chance to do serious damage in the tournament.

It always seems silly for people to bring some outlandish take to this board with the defense of I saw this on twitter or FB or... Unless it is a prominent person making that claim, it does not impact the discussions we have here. You can pretty much find stupid takes anywhere and usually should be ignored. IUFAN1976 Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 This season is where the Rubber meets the road for MW. Looking forward to watching this nice team he and his staff have assembled and if he can coach them above mediocre AZ Hoosier, Chris007, bigrod and 1 other 3 1

HoosierAloha Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Not sure why this season would be when the rubber meets the road. He’s going into his fourth year of coaching college ball and has underperformed his first three. If he meets expectations I’m not sure what would change about the first three. If he over performs while getting the talented pieces to play at a level greater than the individual pieces it would have me interested if he was 10-15 years younger. We’re playing not to lose with our coaching decisions instead of playing to win. AZ Hoosier, Hornsby, Silat Player and 1 other 3 1
TTT Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 If they don’t just blow their money foolishly….(?) I suppose anyone can buy quite a bit for $6,000,000 in addition to a multi million dollar contract. Silat Player, AZ Hoosier, Banksyrules and 1 other 4

Because he has arguably not had a complete and deep roster either due to not having certain personnel or injuries, at least that’s the way he’s probably spinning to Dolson and the board of trustees. With this roster that he’s assembled, he has no excuses, IMO

If so, who do you think brings instant success?

Would you rather him repeat the line that he still believes the college game is played through the post? Since it's become clear CMW will be the IUBB HC next year, haven't we all demanded that he learn from previous mistakes? This is a warmly received message, for me. The roster construction certainly suggests intent to play a different style. That is good news IMO. Nice to see verbal indication of that from the staff in the offseason. Progress...
