Yes, the one and only process.

It’s really sad and very pathetic.  Yes, we know the process sucks and doesn’t work but we’re going to put our head in the sand and keep doing it the wrong way just because.

Is the process just letting go of Woodson? What is considered the starting of the process? Because if you believe that the process isn't going to start for 6 more weeks I don't know what to tell you

Weren’t we told he’d already coached his last home game, even though that wasn’t in any way accurate?

The staff has had a lot of problems with Tucker this season. Not showing up to things, being late, calling around to other schools for next season, and complaining all season about playing time. I would probably stay away from him

Certified sunshine pumper loves tucker. Just loves him.

The process rocks. In the meantime just let Woodson cook

We should want Tucker back. 6'6 with guard skills and length... absolute no brainer

I have missed a whole bunch of pages and someone probably said this already. But a guard can actually make three pointers and has more assists than turnovers. He has some skills, but I’m not convinced he’s as good as everyone thinks.

It'll definitely start before that.

Remember, I specifically said “officially”. There’s a reason I did that, even after all of the nonsense about him already being let go after the Illinois game. Six weeks. Think of it as Lent.

They’re playing with a nuclear bomb but I would expect nothing less from the most inept administration in college sports history.

Yes for the purposes of my post, I was defining the start of the "official process" as when he gets fired as I'm pretty certain that was the intent of her post. Cathy has been steadfast in saying that MW won't be fired before the end of the season. Other posters have said that it is much more likely to happen during the season.

No it doesn't prove anything if he doesn't get fired til the end of the season, but it adds a lot more weight to what she has been saying. And she is taking an official position whereas others are hedging their bets saying things are fluid. That's not a knock on anyone else with info (please continue to post everything you hear), but she has planted a flag with an official prediction.

I quite honestly don't understand the vitriol towards her as it feels a lot like shooting the messenger. But if she's wrong, then by all means blast away.

That “flag” was planted quite awhile ago, and it stayed firmly in the ground after the Illinois debacle.

The more I think about it, the more I think they go the Mike Davis route. They’ll eventually announce he’s retiring at the end of the season.

But clearly not soon enough for many of us... screw the "optics" and fire his lazy @$$.

It will start officially in about six weeks.

I'm guessing by "officially" start IU is already vetting options for how to deal with the buyout, how to handle the PR-related issues of letting go of Woodson, vetting replacement options, etc.

There must have been conversations directly between coach and AD or to and from coach and AD via intermediaries that things aren't going well and the consequences.

Does anybody at IU really feel like they're doing Mike Woodson (or anyone, really) a favor by continuing to employ him?

Nobody lets the king go. The king leaves when the king says so.He may tell the process team Mike woodson isn't going anywhere. That could totally stop the process
