Really strange hill to die on defending Beard in the name of wins. 

Nobody is defending him just calling out you guys who are trashing him even though he was never convicted of a crime. He certainly would not want you guys on his jury. Guilty as charged before trial. He would stand no chance regardless of evidence.

They would have tough choice I’m guessing. Everyone is different in what they view as acceptable or not.   If Wades ever hired I would have a tough choice as to whether to keep being invested in a program I have loved for 46 years or cut bait until someone else is hired.

Lol at thinking the charges were dropped because there was some evidence that exonerated him. Go research domestic violence statistics and look at how many cases go unprosecuted and for what reason.

No one is justifying DV, but there is more to the story than just the police report.  There are alot of things missing from that report.  Long and short of it, is no one really knows what happened that night.  Charges were dropped, because the evidence to support wasn't there, and then she recanted.  Later apoogized at the presser to Ole Miss. and stated that everything Beard did, was in self defense.  So do we believe her statement to police over that statement later..............that is the issue.

I believe that the University of Texas investigated and fired him with cause. At the time he was having a lot of success, too.

Exactly, there is always 2 sides to every story. I am of the mind set, innocent until proven guilty but there are some that are guilty until proven innocent

What good does a "clause in his contract" do? Assuming he's hired (and I am not conceding that point), and he does something that violates "the clause", he's gone and we're starting over again... why not just get it right this time without the risk of hiring an alcoholic woman beater on double secret probation?

No there isn't. There is absolutely nothing that justifies what Beard did to his girlfriend regardless of who started it. Outside of your life being in an immediate danger (and no, being in a drunken argument with your significant other doesn't qualify as immediate danger), there is absolutely zero justification EVER to lay hands on another women.

So am I. Especially after Duke lacrosse. I can't even imagine the meltdown on here by some if we hire beard. Because he is guilty guilty guilty to them. No trial needed . In fact they would likely vote guilty before opening statements
