Visited a few years back and everything you say is true. Had a really cool little Italy which reminded me of Rome a bit.

Actually was shocked that we heard not a single "Boston" accent while there, but we didn't make it to south Boston, so maybe that's why.

Won’t hear many in the tourist areas. Gotta get to Eastie, Revere, West Roxbury, or Hyde Park these days. Even Southie has been overrun by yuppies.

Steve Lutz recently coached in the Southland and was 21-11. Now at OK State and probably on the hot seat.

Heck of a former Purdue assistant that went to W Kentucky after A &M -CC before Oklahoma St.   watched him live in the First 4 a couple years ago.   I personally wouldn’t call him a high level D1 coach yet but I’m guessing you are reaching since I said high major coach even though this is his first year as a high major coach.  Wade coaching in the Southland is just a little bit different than his case.  One used the Southland as a stepping stone while the other was a high major coach but had to use the Southland just to get his foot back in the door

My expectation was a second weekend appearance with a $6mil roster. WTF does that have to do with the Southland? You think Mike Woodson is going 28-2 in the Southland?

Lol, you talk about other people's reading comprehension? The only way you get MW going 28-2 in Southland from what I said is by being disingenuous or not at all understanding the point being made... I'm saying your credibility evaluating coaches seems to not be what you think it is... Maybe the conversation would be more pleasant if you stated your opinions with some modesty... Certainty can be a deadly sin

I wonder about Texas if they move on Gus Fring. Not sure how close they are there, but I’ve seen some chatter about it on the interwebs.

My opinion Wade will be back in the SEC at some point.   Match made in heaven

He already turned down $10 million to begin with and voluntarily walked away from the sideline to become a GM. But yeah he wants to return at the collegiate level lol.

He turned it down at the time maybe because he actually cared what his family thought?

Now a chance to coach his son as his dream coaching job?

His daughter play soccer for IU in a few years?

IU- Where his Dad went to school and could watch him coach?

Yup no good reasons there...

Fwiw (admittedly not much), my wife is a good ole southern Indiana girl and lived in Boston for 4 years of college. She didn’t care for the city at all. We both agreed it’s a great place to visit, but wouldn’t enjoy living there long-term. So I’m saying you can take the Brad out of Indiana, but you can’t take the Indiana out of Brad.

With friends like this it's no wonder the king what's another year. The grift is amazing.

Indiana University paid more than $13,500 for a one-way chartered flight for Board of Trustees Chair Quinn Buckner to travel from a March 2024 board meeting to New Orleans, where Buckner served as a television commentator for that night’s Indiana Pacers game.

Going 28-2 in any conference is an enormous feat regardless of who you are and not something I would expect anyone to do.

Maybe.   Woodson is undefeated against the top 150 + in his 4 years.   Numbers say he is good at beating crappy teams.   Numbers say if the Southland teams are all over 150 + Woody will cook

Not hard when you were a winning Power 4 coach before and then you are forced to go to a low major conference and then you can bring high major talent playing against low major talent

You think Woodson is getting the talent he gets at IU to McNeese St? And some are calling me disingenuous?

Quinn is living it up. Wonder if he brought his buddies.

The mode of travel was chosen when alternative options were unavailable,” Bode’s statement said.

Buckner’s trip was on a Hawker 800XP.

“Coast to coast capability along with a spacious cabin is why this aircraft is in such high demand,” says the description of the plane on the website of the aviation company IU used. “With new paint and interior this wifi equipped aircraft might be the best private aviation experience you have ever had.”
