IU didn’t  fire him last year when we sucked something awful, but will fire him at 5-4 in the Big 10? You serious, Clark?

Expectations this year are much higher and last year we were coming off back to back tourney appearances.  If it gets away this year it’s back to back Jon-appearances.

I would think, and I'm basing this only on my gut -- which is pretty big these days, so I typically listen -- that even if we lose at Northwestern, we don't see any change.

It seems the "Fire Woodson" chants only got going once we started getting poleaxed by Illinois. If we lose to NW, but play well against the Twerps, that might buy more time. Now, if we lose both ...

(Honestly, I have no idea. Just guessing)

When I saw the way Woodson and the assistants celebrated it made me curious if they were told something like “if you lose the next 2 games we’ll have to let you go so we don’t have another scene like the Illinois game”.

That certainly looked like a possibility... he seemed to be "coaching" really hard - harder than I've seen in almost 4 years.

Yeah, sure they are. The same smoke that Woodson was gone last year is here this year. But this year, it’s totally different…..

“Mackenzie’s deal is kind of unique because the crazy thing is Mackenzie’s mom reached out to coach Woodson with a text,” Hunter said on the Hoosier Hysterics podcast last week.  “And so that’s initially how it got started. We didn’t know him, but just obviously (Mgbako) being from the New Jersey area, and Coach (Woodson) being a Knicks guy, and just the people around. So she actually reached out to coach first and inquired about us recruiting her son.  So that’s initially how it kind of came about.”

Woodson says he first saw Tucker three years ago at IMG.

"I watched him work and said, this kid is really skilled. He can do a lot of things, but they told me he might go to elsewhere, so I walked away."

Then last spring, Tucker's father called Woodson to see if he was still interested in his son.

"I said absolutely. I'll be on a plane tomorrow to talk to you about him. We were able to get him to Indiana."

I thought if you wanted to talk to Mike Woodson, you had to come to Mike Woodson?

I thought the same thing!  Actually, I think that is 1st and only game he and his assistants coached that hard, like something was really riding on that game.  I actually seen Calbert talking to a ref during a timeout, I don’t recall ever seeing that either

Nope instead they gave him six million and said let's walk it back. You stunk but we will give you more money.

Initially they were but I've already seen the goalposts moved. Soon it will be the king got us in the tourney 3 of 4 years. His supporters are already talking like just getting in is a big achievement. Kert sterling did a 180 in a matter of days. Somebody told the media to knock if off.

Let’s see what happens after NW.  I don’t trust Woodson at NW vs Collins

And back at you.  Have you discussed Woody's extension with Ferguson and Buckner, et. al.,  that you're so positive he'll be back?  Who told you he'll be back?  Sources please.  Name them.

No one should be surprised by a fifth Woodson season, imo. This is the same administration that hired him, gave him a million dollar raise, and brought him back for a fourth season. It’s been a while since doing what’s best for IU basketball has been the priority for those running things.

It seems like he’s 99.9% gone imo.  Dolson was ready to move on last season.

I mean, the athletic director wanting to move on but not being able to doesn’t inspire confidence.

The argument from QB was “Archie got 4 years, so does woody. And here’s $6mm to buy a team”

and underachieve
