They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

I would think by now, tonight Coach has just had dinner and smoking a cigar with a glass of wine getting ready to watch an episode of jeopardy.  Could explain his coaching strategies.

"I'll take 'Blowing a 4 Point Lead in Under 40 Seconds' for $1,000".

Coach to Fish tonight:  Basically, talks about things that each IU player does great things but you gotta execute.

is it faith in reality or just misguided faith?

Coach says it's a shame what the fans are doing to Galloway. Anyone know what specifically he is talking about? Listening to the radio show and hearing woodson talk I am getting convinced hornsby is right and we are stuck riding a woody into the end of season at best

Gallo gets booed a lot is what I think he’s referring to

Coach is implementing a developmental program for IU men’s basketball that parallels to the length of his multi year contract and successive multiple years of $6,000,000 NIL.

What did he say?

“It’s just not right that fans are doing what they’re doing to him [Trey].”

I get his point I’m just tired of it.  Ask the fans to support him or just leave fans out of it and say he’s about to play better.

Can't say that he didn't earn it... the optics are really bad... the whole Senior Day crap last year followed by a season of not producing... and the B4A stuff like being in the casinos all hours of the night...

Tell Trey and the rest of the players to stop being sensitive. Woodson is projecting his failures on others, per usual.

So many people in this program have a sense of entitlement and can't handle criticism.

Unfortunately that's what comes when you make the kind of $$$ these kids are nowadays.

In their heads it's "hey, I make a boat load to play on the floor, you're paying to watch me, how dare you criticize me" If they didn't have those checks coming, they might have some humility. There's no excuse for Woody. He's an adult and hasn't won **** in his career. He's lucky to be our head coach.

They mimic their head coach.

Or Woody could say, protect his player who is clearly hearing it and playing like a bag of busted donuts and not sub him right back in like 30 seconds later. And as I have said repeatedly I am anti booing players. Sending him back to the table in that situation was coaching malpractice at the college level.

Purge? The AD leads that. Dolson goes nowhere and for a long time won’t go anywhere

Someone said they debunked it but I have not seen that. It’s very possible that KathyC is really our board member.

At one time, Trey was one of my favorite players.  He made his decision to support his coach and take the money when a large part of the fanbase knew that Woodson was holding IU Basketball back.  Galloway is reaping the financial rewards for supporting Woodson.  These players are pros now that make decisions that benefit them financially.  Galloway is going to have to take the criticism that goes along with his decision because many feel that he put his own interests ahead of IU basketball.
