Because they believe this year was a fluke. They believe that if we had X the whole season we would be in the tourney.

I seriously doubt Woodson is going anywhere after this season, unless he decides on his own that he is done. It doesn't sound like that will happen, but there's always a chance that he will decide he doesn't have the energy needed to get the program back. Unfortunately, I think he has much more faith in his ability than we do.

Love McDermott. Should’ve gotten him instead of Woodson last time. He’d be 60 though if that’s an issue. They play good defense also.

There are different kinds of "60"... Woodson v Pearl v McDermott v Cignetti ... not lobbying for Pearl, but yeah when you compare the energy level of Pearl v Woodson, it's night and day...

The problem is it’s not about this year.  We where bound to be down — every team has a down year.  The problem is NEXT YEAR.  One signed recruit.  He is failing to build a core.

This isn't really about money. Woodson has friends in high places, he's a former all-American, all those people think he should get a 4th year if you gave Archie a 4th year.

Completely understandable. I will say that I felt more confident going into Archie's 4th year than I do going into Woodson's 4th year and I was over Archie after year 2 lol. Archie at least had TJD and Franklin who showed some promise as freshman.

Next year could get ugly and very quickly too.

Some of these guys will transfer. But some of them are making some serious money that they won't be getting at other schools. I doubt Reneau would want to go to another school & make less money, than staying here and be thrown under the bus occasionally

Yeah Reneau ought to stay here forever if he could. Not a team in America who likes to play through the post more than Woodson. He'd be silly to leave.

I think we should probably let the offseason play out. We will grab at least 2 maybe 3 guards in the portal, we have McNeely, maybe Queen so we're going to have talent. The stubborn old man now knows he's on the hot seat. Next year is his swan song.

My guess is McDermott to Ohio State and Schertz to Creighton.

According to some Bucknut fans, McDermott was interested the last time but tOSU picked Holtmann.

Founder and father of 21st century IU men’s basketball is Myles Brand and Co Founder Clarence Doninger.
Are there secret plans for a bobbleheads statue to be built at the main entrance of Simon skjodt Assembly Hall gym?

We’re 8-6 WITH Xavier this season. 4 of those wins were against mid majors. 3-5 in conference play. I’m so sick of Mike Woodson and the IU administration. We need a completely overhaul from top to bottom.

But Woodson is a realist. Didn’t you hear him last night. It’s not time to panic.

They fired Matta late.  They target some guys and then offered Holtmann who turned them down.   After that they went after McDermott who said no but was close to saying yes.   Some on here was loving it that they were struggling to get anybody and saying going after Creighton coach was a sign of desperation. Now some want him.   I’ve always thought he was a good offensive coach.  OSU lucked out that cycle by Holtmann ultimately saying yes when they bumped up the pay.    Could of went a lot worse then it did

We better win the remaining home games or it could get ugly for Woodson, Dolson, and the team.  Unless apathy has totally set in, there could be some major booing at Assembly Hall if we don't win these games.
