I'm definitely in the minority, but I'd give those with eligibility (and who want to stay) another shot. Woodson has hindered/ruined what we could have seen from these players by his lack of coaching

Rice, Sisley, the Bosnian kid, Reneau, Carlyle and Cupps(if he doesn't transfer). That gives you a solid start and then go find a few studs.

I’m not going to get into an argument over DD, I heard that first part and yes, it seems like DD doesn’t like LG for some reason.  But both him and Leary started that other part as the inmates running the asylum and that’s the way I took it.  Maybe I just took wrong or see it wrong.  I’m not trying to draw it from him not liking Goode.

Sorry, but that's baloney.  It isn't 'no player should ever tell the coach to go shake hands', it's 'no player SHOULD HAVE TO tell the coach to go shake hands'.  Dakich is just showing his own bias because he doesn't like Goode.

The problem isn't the inmates running the asylum.  The problem is that the inmates HAVE TO run the asylum because the wardon won't.

Same, depending on NIL. New coach may not want to allocate a bunch for Tucker or Carlyle, for example.  
 

But with Galloway, Leal, Ballo, Hatton and Goode gone—plus there’s always one or two that leave anyways. You kind of need most of the rest of the guys to stick around with only two recruits coming in. You’ll still have to pull at least 3 or 4 from the portal.  
 

I’m guessing a competent coach can get more out of guys like Rice, Carlyle, Tucker and Mbako than what Woody has.

Dan Dakich has zero ins on the IU program any more.  He doesn't hear any more than you or I do.

I look at it this way...Purdue's scrubs are better coached than our scrubs.

If he doesn't, it won't be because the football got blown out by IU.  Last year he didn't pull his starters at Purdue until the last thirty seconds and they were up 20.

I agree. More generally though, I like Pitino’s suggestion of doing the handshake before the game. Feels less potential to get messy

After Goode stopped him the last game he may need to change up tactics. The tried and true late game technical may be invoked.

The Coach ThinSkin may make an even earlier exit if the student section razzing gives him too many bad feels.

I don't disagree, but Woodson has never said anything against the post game handshakes.  He was nothing more than a confused old man caught up in the loss.

And if someone has to stop grandpa from wandering to the locker room to do the normal postgame routine, then DD is nuts for being mad at that player.

Generally agree. Someone else said it on here but I think it’s true… to me he just looked like a guy tucking tail trying to get out of there as quickly as he could. Say whatever you will about the guy, it cannot be fun for anybody to be boo’d by 17,000 of your own fans.

Nah, it’s gonna be a beating more likely than not, but I’ll be pretty shocked if Painter has Smith or TKR on the floor with 3 mins left in a 25pt game. One of those guys rolls an ankle or breaks a finger and their season goes sideways. Dude’s not risking his season to avenge the memory of Ryan Walters.
