Reading alot of posts like this today. So does losing by less than 10 Tuesday count as a moral victory? We would be 7-5 and he would be doing his job.

know it’s results that matter most, but this team is close. We’ve lost close ones to very good teams in Maryland and Purdue. We beat a good (per the NET) team in OSU.

If we’d have closed out the last two, we’d comfortably be in the field.

Badgers aren’t great and they do lose games in their building. Win that one and then take care of business at home against Michigan and UCLA. This team can be a 6-7 seed in the NCAA. And then who knows. The talent is there to make a run b

Woodson has FOUR YEARS worth of throwing players under the bus. He cannot take responsibility for anything in a program of which he is "king". Arrogant. Incompetent. Entitled. Lazy.
Yeah but he got a moral victory. I think Maryland could be a moral win also now

I guess but this team was also picked to finish 2nd in the big ten. Most expected 13 or 14 big ten wins. He would have to win every single game to finish with that record. I'm not giving him any props he was supposed to play like this every game.

I get that, heck we are all disappointed for the entire year. We have been let down by the players, coaching staff and the administration for not firing this clown.  But once the season has transpired and fans are now not expecting much, we they play hard and compete, they think of that as a moral victory because that’s about as good as this year will get until this clown is gone.  I am not for moral victories myself because we shouldn’t be thinking that this year with amount of money they spent, but some still want something to cheer about because we haven’t had much!

He did it last year, too... between Feb 27 and Mar 14 he won 5 straight - the last for of the B1G season and the first game of the B1G tournament... and followed that up with the double tech blowout loss to Nebraska... to finish 19-14 (10-10) and a 6th place B1G tie.

Five more weeks and we can pull the plug on the Mediocre Mike Woodson experiment.

Despite how this years has turned out this team is still a bubble team.  While fans wanted to be contending for a B1G title (6 games out in the loss column now) they still have a shot at the tourney still.    Even with these losses IU is still in that first 4 out, next 4 out range.   If they win their home games fans wanting them to make the tourney might get their wish.   It’s not like they are that far off from being projected into the field.    Again fan base was promised and expected to compete for titles not grind their way into the tourney.   Which is why a change is most certainly going to happen at the end if the year

Coach Woodson is doing his job, I mean he’s gotta job.

His most anticipated roster was this year. Boosters have invested millions into this current roster and the current results have shown that Woodson has failed once again. His only job after April will be collecting a check from his apartment in NYC.

But he will always have the moral victories

No matter what is said, I'll never defend sending DMs on social media to players or family.  It's some of the scummiest behavior possible.  Rant and rave on your own page and forums like this all you want, but leave the players and family out of it.  You are mentally unwell if you are sending messages to anybody you don't personally know, especially a negatively charged DM.

Very well said. You have to remember in the end all these players and coaches are human and should be treated that way

I remember that, maybe that’s what Hornsby is afraid of!  Actually, that’s considered a trend and a strong sign of procrastination, which goes hand in hand with laziness
