I 100% believe that BP is in play right now, but to what extent I'm not sure. But I don't think he is using us for more money like he did Louisville.

Don’t give me wrong I’d love to have him,

But after what happened with Donovan and Stevens I’m wondering if this is a little bit of a smoke screen with BP? Guess we’ll see.

Yeah, I’ve gone back and watched a lot of the old games. So fun to watch! Hoosiers has been in the blood for generations. Was born in Bloomington! Doesn’t matter what happens, be a Hoosier for life!

Did you grow up in Bloomington or just born here?

It is interesting because in Trilly’s discord there were a couple Auburn fans talking about how this is the first time they are actually nervous to lose him. They’ve never felt he would go anywhere before but that IU, feels Pearl would actually leave Auburn for. Thought that was interesting

I'm not I had beers, bacon, and cookie cake last night. Pizza and beer today. But I already went to the bathroom and took a big Woodson so feeling better

Just as long as you don’t lay as big of one as the namesake, you’ll be OK.

Grew up there, lived there till I was 14 then mom moved us to Georgia, didn’t want to leave B-town but always try to go back when I can to get Buffalouies!

OK didn't know if you were a North, South, or the almighty Edgewood kid. Georgia is probably nice

Only thing I am worried about is if Auburn ups the ante and makes his son coach in waiting like Houston did for Kelvin Sampson. That would be hard to overcome. If that's the case, move on to option B, Scott Drew (purely my opinion on pecking order).

Woody's post game interviews are going to even more interesting these next 4 games. Pretty soon he will be reading from note cards when interviewed and only answering questions from certain reporters but not everyone.

Dolson in the back of the room at every interview:

Old days were great!  I’ve watched all 3 of BK’s championships.  Even though the 1975 and 1976 teams were pretty awesome I think his best team, IMO was the 1992 or 1993 team.  I believe it may have been the 1993 team and Henderson got hurt and that hurt our chances to win it all.  I made it to the elite 8. The 92 team made it to the FF4.

My third letter to Scott Dolson and the IU Board of Trustees:

Quote

I am asking you to address the issue with the Indiana Men's basketball situation. As you are probably aware, the state high school tournament has begun, and despite some key match-ups of some of the best high school players in the state of Indiana, no one from the men's basketball staff was out recruiting. I've seen reports in the media of coaches for other P5 teams in attendance (including Purdue and Notre Dame), yet Mike Woodson and his staff could not be bothered. This is an embarrassment to the program that Mr Woodson claims to value, especially because recruiting is both the lifeblood of a college basketball team as well as a key component within the job description for head coach and assistant/associate coaches. Given the recruiting budget for the program, I cannot understand how Woodson and his staff ignoring this duty can be acceptable to you. It certainly is a concern for me and for those fellow fans with whom I talk basketball. I would love to know what other basketball duty was more pressing than seeing these recruits and attempting to build/strengthen relationships with them and their coaches.

This is the final straw for me as both an alum and a fan. While I am not a "big dog" in terms of financial support for the program, I have donated and I do travel back to Indiana several times each season to attend games and support my Hoosiers... but I am done. I will no longer donate to support the athletic department, nor will I be attending any more games at SSAH as long as Mike Woodson is the head coach, or is involved in any other way with the basketball program (except as a former player and alum).

Please do the necessary to remove Mike Woodson as head coach and hire a qualified replacement.

And I received the same canned response...

Would have went to North. Had 3 older siblings that went to North. Brother played with Sean May there.

Actually, I think if you watch closely, Woody's lips aren't in sync with the words and I think it's QB's hand under Woody's coat practicing his ventriloquism.

That explains the smile on Woodson's face. :D

His best team, in my opinion, was the 75 team.

Had Scott may never broke his arm nobody beats that team. Hell ,they were good enough to win the ABA championship that year.

Regarding the son as successor, I wonder if that would be the draw to keep him at Auburn vs leaving for IU.  I doubt we will guarantee that but they might and I could see it being the tiebreaker.

I'd be curious as to just how "ready" his son (Steven?) is to step up... maybe this would be the catalyst to get it done... BP to IU and his son to Auburn...
