X went up for a big slam and landed on his left arm HARD.

It looked like he might’ve hyperextended his elbow. He came down with all this weight on the one arm.

Good job Hoosiers!

Credit where it’s due. Looked much better tonight on both ends, and essentially without Reneau.

I don’t have a good understanding or explanation yet for what happened in the first part of the second half, but we looked much better the rest of the game. Especially in the first half.

At least that wouldn't affect his shot since he shoots with one hand

Leal and Ware was the stars of the game.  We don’t win that game without Leal’s clutch 3 pointers.  He’s definitely earned more minutes.  Also, I thought he played good defense too.

i have noticed that about Mgbako, seems to lose his lift on his shot in the 2nd half of games.  When he drives, he gets bumped and it prevents him from finishing.  Staying one more year and getting on the Reneau body building plan will do him a lot of good.

I hope Reneau isn’t out long or at all, we can’t afford to lose him for a couple of games.

Is it just me and my TV, or does it look like MgBako has chicken legs -- they seem very thin to me, given his upper body build.  He definitely needs the Thompson/Renue offseason workout.

Sure didn’t look like that was what he was grabbing. Already saw some MDs assuming radial fracture based on fall and where he grabbed.
Let’s hope for the best
Just watched it as I taped the game. Did not look good obviously. Came down on it bad but who knows.

what a mixed emotion game

While I know many have grown tired of my posts on that recently, this is exactly what I was talking about. The heat around the program and players has gotten way to high.

You would think some would have stopped after an injury, nope, seeing guys all over Twitter tweeting at him saying they are glad he is gone. We have to at least try to course correct some of this attacking that is done. Hasn’t just been X either, guys telling Ware he is soft, shutting it down, questioning character. These guys do care and put in way more work than most can ever imagine.  The are humans first.

Really thought it was coming together there for a bit and that was the first time since we had everyone mostly healthy since like mid November. Think

Congrats to Leal/Ware and the guys who pulled it together. You could tell the core wanted it bad, was cheering each other hard and very emotional. (Outside of a couple I think have already mentally moved on which sucks)

Next game

Who has mentally moved on?

I’ll be honest….I don’t recall ever seeing much hate for Leal. I’ve seen people say they didn’t think he was good enough to be getting minutes on a team that contends. I personally feel we could have played him a lot more. His shooting and winning past was something we have been missing. Defense can always come along with more minutes. Plenty of teams in college basketball win with guys just like Anthony Leal.

Fife supposedly said 2 years ago that Leal was  good enough to start for many B1G teams.

I agree and I think he should have played more the last few years but he should have been in the rotation starting from day 1 this year and today’s effort proves that, but for whatever reason CMW kept going with Gunn and Banks.  I also saw some leadership coming from Leal on the floor, that was a welcome sight to see.

Me.

But then I probably am taking this question out of context.

I do not know about the team members that may have been somewhat disgruntled in the past for not getting prime playing time.  But I would never ever point them out on a chat site to be ridiculed.

I would rather do that to some of the 'fans' that aren't 'true fans'.      /s

I remember, way back before my grownup offspring were born...  Seemed all IU fans made schedules around IU basketball games.  The world seemed to be put on the back shelf during those 2+ hours.

If I miss a game now because of something...  It happens.   However, if all things are even, we do watch if possible.

What I liked about the game last night was the team effort, the rebounds, the defense...especially in the first half.

Hope that our two starters that went down recover quickly.

I lost a bet last night.  No flagrant fouls.  But why does Xavier take his time getting the ball in to the offense?  Why does Woody allow that?  Oh....never mind.    I know why.
