Rutgers missed soooo many shots, not because we played great defense but because they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Unfortunately we couldn't either yet it was still close. To have less than 40 points with about 6 mins to go, with this roster, is insane. A good coach should be able to manufacture points against a team like Rutgers. For a myriad of reasons, we p*ssed this game away. It's almost impressive how many ways we played poorly. Kids didn't execute and staff isn't putting them in good position.

Woody is never gonna make it.  We can either cut bait now and get a lot better or continue on for years of misery.

This is sadly the truth. I don’t think we have anything to even hope for at the moment. Down days again for this fan. He isn’t getting fired. I don’t even want that really, but it’s probably necessary.

Hope and pray we get it right in the transfer portal or it’ll be more of the same. Missing the tournament in back to back years will sink us even further.

It was the total package of shite! No question we absolutely did poorly in every aspect of the game.

Posted this in the “Rant” thread too…

As far as I’m concerned, I’m ready to call the Woodson experiment a failure.

It’s like he didn’t learn a $&@!&@#* thing from Bob Knight. Like he was never even taught the game.

We suck at free throws. We suck at boxing out. We suck at rebounding on both ends. We suck at valuing the ball and intelligent passing. We suck at shooting. We suck at defense, substitution, roster building, energy, and mental toughness.

We are not even an adequately functioning division one team.

Tell Mike to go home, give the keys to Calbert for the rest of the season and then hire Michael Lewis or Dusty May in March.

This is worse than bad.

The traveling fans to neutral and away games don’t deserve this. I get you’re gonna drop a few on the road but this was almost crafted by coach to lose from the jump. It bothers me what these players make in NIL and this is the kind of performance we get as a fan. It’s a new era of college sports understandably but it’s without question annoying when you are asked to donate or buy gear or whatever and put up your hard earned money into a program like we have had for 20 years. I’m scrounging for a positive right now and can’t come up with one. This has to turn around now or we continue down a path of mediocre basketball. I’m ashamed of tonight’s performance for our fanbase.

And why this hire made ZERO sense from the get go. You don’t make experimental hires at Indiana. We haven’t gotten a hire right in 25 years.

When Reneau took that shot to the face, he shoulda just found the kid who did it and clocked him.

Apparently, retaliating was OK to these officials.

Did the kid that X bagged get a foul for his retaliation? I never figured that out.

I love IU basketball

I cannot stomach this team and this season.
We have 4 and 5 star players…pfft.
We have a high NIL…pfft.
We have an NBA, Alma Mater coach…pfft.
We are a Blue Blood school…pfft.

We have no will to win.
We have no desire.

There is no leadership.

I seriously worry about the future of this program.

I’m not drunk, just panicked.

Among other things we are really impacted by 6th year X’s inconsistencies.
He is one of the primary reasons we beat OSU but tonight he decides to dribble into crowded lanes multiple times and give a guy a handy.
Unfortunately, at this point he is what he is.

I wonder if this won’t be a problem for IU. Yea.. we’re NIL high rollers now, but who would pay for this crap? Who would pay for our last twenty years?

It’s one thing to pay for seats where you can recoup some of the investment or to donate to the school under the veil of helping out the university. But how long will the average fan pay into NIL collectives for this crap? My guess is you don’t get to suck for two decades in this new era and still get to soak the fans.

I have tix to the Wisconsin game. I’d sell them tonight, if a guy wasn’t driving up to go to the game and stay with a mutual friend.

I love watching how smart and how hard and how well coached Purdue plays. Then my beloved team puts up this effort.

This is hard on me.

What could have been if Knight offered Painter instead of Leary. IU was Painter’s favorite school and would of walk over broken glass and hot coals to Bloomington.
