Pretty legendary rapper. Basically helped create an entire subgenre of hip-hop around the turn of the century. If we landed him for Hysteria, that's a pretty sweet pull. (For the kids, which obviously is what matters)

And ... here come the cranky-pants-ers.

Let me get out in front of this in advance: IT'S A 30 MINUTE CONERT; WE AREN'T SUGGESTING THAT HE IS A ROLE MODEL FOR THE SWEET AND LOVELY!

*and, Travis Tritt and REO Speedwagon weren't available - because kids these days love those two acts!*

The olds can take their whining to Facebook. We already had this debate on here last year about G Herbo.

Turn of the century? So, are the attendees going to look at him the way my kids look at Dave Grohl, kind of a cool old dude?

Gucci Mane would be a huge get (and I'm old, lol).  Gucci Mane, an Altanta-based rapper, has received various nominations at the Grammy Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards, iHeart Radio Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. In 2015, Vice wrote an article calling Gucci Mane, "the most influential rapper of the last decade." (si.com).

Gucci Mane has 55 charted singles, lots of collaborations w/ Doja Cat, Rae Sremmurd (Black Beatles is probably Gucci's most well known song), Migos, etc

I've heard of him. But I definitely couldn't tell you a single song of his. But whatever gets the players and students hyped. I don't know how popular he is in today's "game." Do kids still listen to Gucci Mane or is it just Lil Poptart and Lil Chandelier or whatever other Lil's there are?

I think he's still pretty relevant, but it's not my first choice of genre either lol.

Also, he's an Atlanta guy so the legend of Ya just keeps growing. Heard they're going to start calling it Yalanta.

It’s an interesting dynamic seeing kids at HH that have no interest in the basketball stuff and on the flip side the people that go to HH for the basketball and don’t really care about the entertainment after.   Last we sat by kids just waiting for the basketball events to end looking at their watch every 5 min and then you had my family and I jetting as fast as we could to get out after the basketball events.    Kids were sprinting down from higher up to take our seats.    I’m glad they have stepped up and put some thought into making it a big spectacle for the younger generation however  I don’t need to be around to see it though.
