That is patently absurd. Good lord, you guys take your myopic whining so far that you have yourself convinced the big bad scary officials are out to get IU and are holding us back. It couldn’t be our own incompetence or other programs’ excellence. Nope…. It must be the officials. That is a world view that don’t hold up to the slightest bit of scrutiny. Seriously dude. The conference hasn’t won a natty since 2000. Sheesh wake up. RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

We’re arguing why. I’m saying coaching and program competency. You’re arguing officiating. If Coach K and Roy Williams coached in the B1G there would be plenty of titles. But not according to you, because of officiating. C’mon… Quote

If you don't think style of play has a direct result in the lack of Big Ten recruiting compared to some other conferences, I would say that you are the myopic one. The Pac 12 has five five-star recruits coming in next year to four different teams....USC, Oregon, Colorado, and Stanford. Quick -- who coaches those. The Big Ten has two five-stars coming in, both to Michigan State. Are you saying recruits are attraced to 'great coaches' like Jared Haase and Tad Boyle? Check the top recruits over the last ten years. The Big Ten isn't getting them. Home Jersey, Chris007, IUCrazy2 and 5 others 8 Quote

Coach K is legit but if he was in the big ten you bet you’re bottom dollar he wouldn’t let the conference allow such horrible officiating. Quote

And say fix this **** or i am gone. And the big 10 would fix it because they know that the moment someone like K Leaves the Tv Ratings would tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

The closest you can come is Virginia, but deep down they really don’t play like Wisconsin — they play a slow tempo but have athletes. Quote
iubb Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Same with College football. Ohio state is the last big 10 team to win it all in 2014. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Wonder how much longer that will need to continue for the brainless suits at big 10 HQ to realize something is wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

That’s why they hired Terry Wymer to oversee B1G officiating. Don’t think it’s going to get fixed in year 1. Long way to go to get it to look like the other leagues. Don’t know if it will make a difference in the long run but for them to hire him is the first step in acknowledging a problem exists. Ryno6284 and RaceToTheTop 2 Quote

The ACC doesn't let it's two best teams lose back to back games to a middle of the pack team because of officiating either. The Big Ten trades higher seeds for more teams in the tournament. Quote
Stuhoo Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Great game— never thought we’d come back like that. Sucks to lose at the finish but it happens. Impressed that we were able to put on that run against a very good team on the road. We’re now “down” to having won 8/10 in conference without X. Still good stuff. I don't expect refs to be perfect. Fast pace and things can get missed especially if they're borderline. I generally tend to subscribe to the notion that if the refs made the difference you probably didn't deserve to win in the first place. That being said some things should definitely called. The pushoff in the clip posted above wasn't exactly subtle. RaceToTheTop, Class of '66 Old Fart, hoosierbgh and 2 others 5 Quote
