Jeezus ... Jockitch is an angry, angry, angry, angry man.

https://x.com/dandakich/status/1841930390451130435

He's still bitter that his  3-4 record and total post season flameout with a team that had top 10 talent as the interim HC didn't land him the full time position. He's been spewing spite ever since and this is just  the latest example. Nothing to see here.

Dakich should judge the "effeminate" leadership qualities of Myles Rice in the context of this:

Myles Rice: "I had to do chemotherapy for seven months between the months of October to, to April I want to say. Yeah and so I had, I did about like two or three different surgeries and two different biopsies after I finished my, my regular scheduled chemotherapy.

I got really sick so I had to go back to the hospital for a month-not a month I mean a week and I had a tube in my neck and so that pushed everything back a month and so it was just it was really... it was a hard time for the first month maybe month and a half. Just because your body's getting used to you know all the chemotherapy. And like so I didn't have the energy to really sleep eat. You know just basic everyday things. Sleeping? I'm like I'm sleeping for like 16 hours and sometimes, sometimes I'll sleep for three.

Like it it it was bad and on top of that you know just juggling schoolwork or you know do at school."

Interviewer: "So you're telling me my man you were doing chemo yes and school?"

Myles Rice: "And practice yes. 100% "

_________________________________________________________

  • While undergoing chemo and surgeries, for seven months he stayed in school and attended team practices as an observer.
  • He received his last chemotherapy treatment in March of 2023.
  • He was cleared for contact basketball activities in June of 2023.
  • During the season that started in October of 2023, he was Wash St. student-athlete of the year,  conference freshman of the year, 1st team Pac-12, and set the freshman school record in single game scoring, single season scoring, steals, assists, free throw percentage, free throws, and field goals, and played over 33 mpg on a team that went 25-10, 14-6 in conference.

Context (and nuance) are beyond his ken.

I'm not sure if he reads this board, but if he does he now has the context needed to adjust his statements and his view.

He's a total DB so that won't happen. He'd probably just double down.

So funny coming from him. He was one of the worst captains in IUBB history. But he loves to judge.

Funny the other day he talked about how he at least won something while as a player but all Woodson did was pad his stats. I emailed the show that he was incorrect since the 1980 team won the Big Ten and Woodson was the big ten MVP. He did all of that after missing 8 weeks due to back surgery .To my surprise I never heard back from him

Dakich can go **** himself with a nailgun. Fingernail and toenail issues are very common with chemotherapy. It is usually temporary but can absolutely be permanent. For all that ******* knows, Myles paints his fingernails because of lasting issues from chemo. He may even have to use fake nails because his fingernails won't grow back.

Can't disagree there. And sadly his opinions drive interaction, which is what he wants. No winning with this guy associated with IU.

Full confession, I liked listening to his radio show several years ago. Something happened to him that changed his personality. I don't know  if it was a psychotic break from stress in his life or not. But something changed him for the worst. I tried to hang around for a while, but he just kept getting more and more unlistenable. In some ways I feel sorry for him, but in others I think he has brought this whole selfdistructive thing upon himself. Having somewhat of a mental health background myself, I see things that disturb me very much in his behavior.

He’s not a tactful guy. He’s irascible. I’d say the social experiment we all lived through over the past 8 years has really left it’s mark. I tend to side with the root ideas of many of his thoughts and I know that’s socially demonized in todays world. (I see it daily) People that see things through an “old school” lens will have a particularly hard time living in todays age. Dakich epitomizes this construct.

Little hype video from pro day, can’t see anything of note really… seasons getting closer! The wait goes a lot quicker when the football team is winning like this!

You can see Gallo and Jakai running full-on in the scrimmage. And Myles with his shooting hand wrapped a little.
