WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 An adjustment of form needs a zillion repetitions to install I agree, and that is precisely why us expecting him to become a consistent 3 point shooter is a long, long shot. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app As much as Lavar tainted his own family for years before thankfully disappearing, that is an absurdly talented pair (sorry, Gelo) of kids. They could probably make just about anything work. I don’t think Trey was born with quite as much of an advantage lol. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 (edited) Sampson recruits dawgs. That’s his style and his trademark. It often works. I feel like Baylor has that style too. Who else fits this as a program? MSU and Izzo generally too. Not sure it works at IU, unfortunately. I feel like X has some of this in his game. I feel like Stewart does too he just doesn’t have the physical gifts to really make it work for him fully. Galloway has that some. Edited March 20, 2022 by WayneFleekHoosier HoosierAloha 1 Quote

I'd put Texas Tech in that category. psu has that fight but lacks the talent of the other teams. Wiscy plays a slightly altered version of it but they have players that will fight. Quote

I would say you forgot Geronimo. geronimo, X, Galloway are the only three on the team that I think fit that description HoosierHoopster 1 Quote
Ryno6284 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I think Trey can fine tune his shooting with the form he has. He just needs to put in the work everyday. X is a respectable shooter, look at his ugly-a$$ form! ALASKA HOOSIER and Stuhoo 1 1 Quote

Players that compete at everything. Players that are pissed when a teammate beats them at anything and everything. We had nice players this year that I'm sure would hold the door for others and help walk the elderly across the road. That's great and I want them representing our program and university. I'd also like them to compete with their teammates at a high level and everyone gets better at the end of the day. We have a team full of golden retrievers. Lovely fellas. Friendly, likable players. But no one’s scared of them. No one hates playing against them. We need to add a few pit bulls. go iu bb, LIHoosier, RoadRage and 5 others 6 2 Quote

It can be done. No different that fixing a golf swing. Need a good coach and commitment to getting a ton of reps in. HoosierHoopster, HoosierAloha and lillurk 3 Quote

You can make an ugly swing/shot work but it makes it more difficult. Agree, you can fix it but do we have players that want to fix it and will put in the required reps? ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

I keep hearing from people who know more about his hs wrist - hand injury that his shot has never been the same, i dont know if it’s about continuing to work on his outside shot (i know he has been) or it’s that with the wrist injury (and his injury this season) it’s just screwed up his shooting ability— hope not Quote

His floater shot form is fine. I’m no shooting instructor, but it looks like he shoots with his feet wide and his shoulders hunched forward from distance. HoosierHoopster 1 Quote
