IUc2016 Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 MUST WIN. Indiana: 18-12 (9-11) Michigan: 17-13 (11-9) IU is among the first four out and needs this one. Have to hope Michigan shoots their season average or below it and doesn't shoot lights out like they did in the first game. IU is 13-23 overall in the Big Ten tournament, and I say it every year, but they are due for something good to happen in this thing. On a positive note.... IU has won 6 in a row in Gainbridge/Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Let's make it 10. Go Hoosiers! Josh, thebigweave, RoadRage and 2 others 5 Quote
IU_FanClub Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Based on player comments today at the very least it sounds like the team is hungry and not checked out like they have been in past years. Maybe just maybe we play like the desperate team for once and go out there and punch them in the mouth. Go Hoosiers I’ll be taking a long lunch for the second half thebigweave and IUc2016 2 Quote

Aaron Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 I would like to say while I have no expectations, women may have finally broken Big Ten Tourney hex for both sides and both have been equally bad before this year. Just third appearance by either team in a final ever, third appearances on Saturday since 2007 for either side, and first time since 2006 either team has won at least two games. Hopefully a good omen. GoIU8, thebigweave and IUc2016 3 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Food for thought: looking at bubble teams like SMU, Indiana, BYU, VCU...... Only one really gains anything with a a lot with win in their next game. VCU will get either Richmond (quad 2) or UMass (quad 3) IU plays Michigan (quad 1) SMU plays the winner of Wichita State (quad 2) and Tulsa (quad 3) BYU's regular season is over. And I still think Xavier bears watching. They play Butler (quad 3). Hoosierfanyuh, thebigweave, vemmeistars and 1 other 4 Quote
GoIU8 Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 So is this a play in game? Or is IU's resume still too weak even with another neutral court win. Quote

Seems to be split opinion on this. Some think IU has a decent shot if they beat UM. Some think they may need 2. To me it probably depends on other bubble teams. No bid stealers and we get in but that seems unlikely. Quote
vemmeistars Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 (edited) IMO, IU could get in with 1 more win and IU would get in with 2 more wins. Edited March 8, 2022 by vemmeistars Hoosierfanyuh and IUc2016 2 Quote

When will he leave? I do not like him near the floor, He is a dud and not much more. His commentary makes me cry, He makes me ill. Ill-i-n-i! A lesser choice? I can't believe. I do not like that Bardo, Steve. Class of '66 Old Fart, HoosierX, OliviaPope40 and 4 others 3 4 Quote
