Man I can’t wait for the off-season takes about how we will be better next year despite losing Race and Trayce and getting no name transfers to fill there spots.

No way they go that route again…. Would he?

No I don’t but that’s why your point about Fife is stupid.  He would run the ship differently.  We would not see multiple bench mobs a game with him.

Probably don’t call people’s points stupid then whine when people disagree with you.

If you haven't figured it out yet, every game is a program referendum with our fanbase. It's what we do. This program's culture sucks and this is one of the byproducts.

I have tried to stay away from it and refused to hit the panic button while most did. But I called tonight’s game a must win and we lost.

Feels like an Archie quote

Seems like it would be more accurate to say “we’ve got to learn how to play”.

A common denominator, in my opinion, since 2003-ish is that we may have had higher starred  or maybe more athletic players, but many of them just weren’t basketball smart and/or fundamentally sound.

You’ve got to have talent, but when we were really good we had both talent and fundamentals (shooting, passing, decision making, drawing charges, valuing the ball, etc.) I don’t know that we’ve had both for a very long time.

I realize Woodson hasn’t had much time yet to affect the culture or the roster, but I’m sure getting tired of stupid, weak play.

It’s one game unless I’m missing something?  Disappointing loss sure but I thought we still had games left on the schedule to be played.

Unless we win games we aren’t projected to win we are currently out of the tournament after tonight’s loss. Can we win at Ohio State or Purdue? Not likely.

I guess 3 wins out of the next 5 gives us a chance. Whatever. Tonight’s game was huge to tourney chances. 4 straight losses. 3 at home, I believe.

My take. I watched the 2nd half with about 25 Shriner's. About 3 of us IU fans. The rest? No dog in the fight. But they agree. IU could have played better, but certain Wisconsin players got calls that weren't normal. There were other calls that they were like, "wtf?" Yes, IU played poorly. But they thought the Hoosiers got "homered" at home.

Crumbling at the end of games is obviously bad but I’m just as, or maybe even more, frustrated with how we play when we get 4-7 point leads.  In BT play we virtually never play smart the 2-3 minutes after we get a lead.  Race putting up a clunker three, very early in the shot clock, when we were up 7 followed by Wiscy getting the ball and hitting their three, was a killer. Could have gone up 9-10 points but instead we were up 4.  Happens frequently.

Yeah, I'm trying to not to go that route, but it's hard not to. This felt very much like an Archie Miller loss, and so have the last few games. We're just so dependent on our post players to score, and I can't think of any successful college basketball team that operates this way, and if they do, no way are their guards this bad. It just blows my mind how we can't have even one bucket-getter on the roster. We just repeatedly pound the ball into the post and hope they can either get fouled or out-maneuver their defender, and finally, finish at the rim. We just make offense way too hard.

Still games left to be played, but the last two weeks have done a lot of damage.

Go search google again and come back with a better argument. You’re wrong!

Simple eye test bud. The B1G just isn’t as solid as it has been in years past

"eye test"......LOL.  How cute.  But thanks for establishing what an "argument" is.

I understand.  I guess after a painful loss I’m not built to throw in the towel when their are games left to be played on the schedule.

Fun fact. Indiana is 12-21 in February the last 5 years. Just can't finish a season strong

Hey, you can't lose games late in March if you can't win games in February.

IU playing chess when the others are playing checkers.
