If coach T.M. is ever to make Yarden Garzon a legitimate inside force type player like T.M. wants her to be it will be one of T.Moren’s greatest achievements for an individual player.

Does Yarden want to be an inside player?

T. Moren wants her to post down low and work inside more this year because of her size.

If the matchup allows. So skilled.

Yeah but that is situationally based and I would agree. I may have misunderstood TTTs idea and thought that meant a move from the perimeter to the interior more regularly. If she could develop that threat inside and outside that would be awesome.

T.Moren did refer to Y.G. matchups however stated she is taller than most guards who guard her.  T.M. also wants more on inside overall beyond matchups because of her size.  They tried it last year (Y.G. was 17 year old freshman) and it didn’t work all that well.  It remains to be seen how it works out this year and if it affects Y.G. outside game or how much of a good player Y.G. can be in mid range to inside game.  This is one (maybe a little bit trial and error) component of ways to address loss of Grace Berger.  Y.G. will still be perimeter player.

It's never clear what he's saying... evidenced above.

She's 6'3, long, and skilled. Plus she's our "4". When it allows she'll play some in the post.

An extraordinary, must read.

God bless Teri Moren, her staff, the team, and the culture that allows Bloomington to be Garzon's place and this story to happen.

And for those at IU who have tried to shake or denigrate Yarden Garzon? GTFO our campus, and that includes if it's a basketball player.

Yarden's released her announcement today ...

Would love to know what prompted this. Because I thought after a few days of no portal, I thought she was staying. And being an international student, is there a limit to how much NIL she can get anyway?

Surely NIL has to be against a student Visa.

Kinda reads like she thinks her chances to further her career are better someplace else but I'm not sure I see that.  She's too stiff and slow to play WNBA imo. She's a baller though, no doubt.

I suppose it's possible she'll return overseas and play pro ball in a place that would be closer to her home and family.

I have it on pretty good authority from a couple people that she is leaving due to potential NIL (there are ways around student visa not allowing NIL) and to chase a championship. While that thing with the emails likely happened (although I have not confirmed this), it played no factor in her leaving.

I also think her not having her closest friends on team or staff anymore may have played a role but no insight.

She was treated very well by IU overall and the Jewish community and loved her experience here. Sorry to see her go.
