Coach Moren dipping into the international ranks once again.  Currently plays for Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan an Israeli D-1 team.  Listed as a 6'1" guard.

A re-tweet from Raoul:  Yarden Garzon - committed today to @IndianaWBB.   Her sister Lior is playing for Villanova.  Yarden is a 6’1 guard that plays multiple positions. She can do it all.  17.5 years old and leading all scorer.

Through 6 games of her current season she's averaged 15.8 ppg; 5.2 rpg; 3.7 apg; 1.8 stl; 2.7  TO; .8 blk playing 34 min/game.  She's shot 50% FG; 47.2% on 3s; 93.3% FT.

In the 2021 FIBA U20 Women's European Challenger in 5 games she averaged 19.2 ppg; 9.4 rpg; 2.0 apg; 1.8 stls; 2.2 TO; 2.0 blks playing 29 min/game.  She shot 43.2% FG; 29.3% on 3s; 53.3% FT.

In the 2018 FIBA U16 European Championship Division B in 8 games she averaged 17.8 ppg; 6.6 rpg; 1.8 apg; 3.3 stls; 3.6 TO in playing 28 min/game.  She shot 40.5% FG; 34.7% on 3s; 74.2% FT.

Indiana women's basketball head coach Teri Moren has announced the addition of Yarden Garzon to this year's signing class. Garzon joins Lilly Meister, Lexus Bargesser and Henna Sandvick in the class of 2026.
 
Garzon, a Ra'anana, Israel native, is rated as a 4-star recruit by Premier Basketball Report who averaged 14.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game for Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan. She's shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from 3-point and 94.1 percent at the free throw line.
 
She also has extensive experience with the Israel National Team. At the 2021 U20 European Challengers, she averaged 19.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. Most recently, she joined the Israel Senior National Team at the EuroBasket 2023 qualifiers in November 2021 where she was in the starting lineup against Latvia and scored 16 points and four rebounds.

Yarden is now third all-time with her 53 made 3's for a Freshman in a season passing Taylor Agler and Jaelyn Penn over the past two games.  She is 10 behind Kris McGrade and 14 behind Larryn Brooks.

Her 105 attempts only places her at 8th, passing Tyra Buss.

Loved this and so glad the guys from Hoosier Hysterics did the podcast, giving this somber situation the respect it deserves.
