It really killed us. It really showed one how great he was but at the same time how mentally weak we are.

Even with the poor play from Penix, IU still had a chance to go ahead and fumbled inside the 5 yard line. Three wasted red zone trips. Penix is partly to blame today but shouldn’t bear 100% of it.
With that said, I think it might be time to see what Tuttle can do from here

We need to find a replacement desperately for McFadden next year. The dropoff of the defense without him today has been drastic

It's clear that Matthews is by far and away our best WR and it's an embarrassing dropoff after him. Offensive line sucks. Defense is weak. DC has made this defense a joke. Sheridan has god awful play calling. Penix is done. He's just not good anymore. Bench him for the year. We've gotten our butts absolutely smoked since the targeting call.

Tom Allen Jr can’t be on the field to spell McFadden going forward. Kid doesn’t have it and it’s completely obvious. There’s no way you can convince me we don’t have a more talented and athletic backup
