I know what you're all wondering: When does Scott Dolson pick up the phone and call Sister Jean?

Tonight?

I would like to announce that..

I could be talked into this guy. This is without looking at his resume. His recent March runs speaks for itself.

The style of play appears to look appealing. His teams did this with less talent.

I'll investigate more this week and report back.

Moser has a .548 career winning percentage. He has made 2 NCAA tournaments in 17 seasons as a D1 head coach. Please don’t be talked into him, and if you see Scott Dolson around Bloomington please tell him to not be talked into him either.

If folks were worried about the pace of Tony Bennett's or Chris Beard's offenses, Moser isn't much better. Loyola ranked #324 in tempo this year. The advanced metrics did like them, though, with KenPom ranking them 7th in the country currently.

Do you think coaches improve over time? If not, how do you explain his last 4 seasons compared to his years before that? Seems like he has figured things out to me.

I also think his stint as Rick Majerus's lead assistant at Saint Louis has changed him as a coach. It causes me to discount his pre SLU records.

If you’re ok with IU hiring a coach with 2 tournament appearances in 17 years that’s fine, but I have higher standards. He has a worse resume than Archie Miller, and we all know how that hire went. Hard pass.

You say that now. But when Matta, musselman and fife publicly turn us down you’ll be building the moser shrine in front of assembly hall.

ULC 25-4 record this year is more than one game. And they beat a respectable (not great) GA Tech team in the 1st round.

And far less talent than we have (well...maybe)

Crean's record wasn't all that great coming in either, yet there are some on here pining for him...

Not a chance in hell. I’m more likely to stop watching IU if that happens. People don’t want Steve Alford, and I don’t disagree with them, but Alford has made more tournaments since 2015 than Moser has in his entire coaching career. People are grasping at any shiny object they can find right now. You think a donor paid $10 million to hire a guy with 2 tournament appearances in 17 years?

Way to avoid the question posed.  I’m not ok with the above. However, I know people can grow and advance in their careers. Everyone is drooling over Stevens, if Moser makes another Final Four this year his last 4 years will be on par with Stevens at Butler.

The MVC generally doesn’t get at large bids, so the only way they get in is to win the conference tournament.  That’s always a crapshoot.

Guy can coach lesser talent in a team concept.  Was kind of nice watching a team hit its free throws.
