25 years of horrible decisions and counting. And yes a BB hire would not be surprising on the least in fact it's usually what iu does.

Take a breath Hornsby, bb should be signing his extension soon! We will get our guy and every IU fan will love Scott!

So will all the agents and coaches that he got raises for!

This has been the best ran coaching search I have seen.  People that are paid to know like Rabby, Trilly, and Goodman seem to not have a clue who IU is focused on.  They only know candidates they are not talking to like Wade.  We know more about the Iowa and NC State searches and the IU job has been open way longer.

I'll be honest, even when people say they've heard stuff I still don't believe it.  I'm skeptical of everyone and everything.

Would you be happy with a Painter hiring if it meant we go through a big lummox as the first option on offense?

I think he would adjust his approach to the game here.

"Fool me once...." I here you, as long as we hire an actual college coach I think we will be alright!

Just not bb!

Here here.  McCollum the worst case is fine with me.  Hopefully Dolson can get the whale in the boat.  I've heard that's the hardest part.

Yes I would be, as long as it is only 1 lummox.  And he can step out to shoot, screen, pass, and roll to the basket.

Alan Huss, you are The New King of Indiana.

Wouldn't hate it! He also made Goobman look like a dope the other day when he asked about his championship at LA Lu and he responded, that happened the year after I left! Lol

I hope it’s like a $15m buyout hahaha

Watch it be lower and this place goes apeshit!

Lloyd is one name out there that seems like a possible surprise candidate.  AZ isn’t in the best financial shape and Tommy supposedly doesn’t like his AD.  There are no good jobs in the PNW, so Tommy will have to stay far from home if he wants a big program.  This situation could have led Tommy to connect with Scott a while back and get this mostly wrapped up by the time Woody was fired.

I’m just guessing at some other angles that explain how quiet search has been.

He would be a homerun hire that no one has really talked about.  I would love that.

I've been trying to rally his name from the begging.

Look for a guy with a bushy mustache and bushy eyebrows. :)

Must have missed you. We were behind the basket on the Maryland/msu side 10 rows up.

The ncaa is a joke for sure — but for us kinda older guys, RMK’s players graduated, and generally had B averages, he ran the program strictly.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not some kind of academic hawk, but then you have a school like UNC with a history of a fake academic program- that’s complete crap.
A program should be working the line of ncaa rules, working with the bball program to advise it in the grey but not against the program as some kind of gotcha group, buy also not deliberately faking academics and ignoring the rules.

Coca Cola Roy brought his academic advisor with him to Chapel Hill from Kansas and implemented the African Studies program that were paper grades with one exam final handed to the players by tutors. NCAA uncovered it all and put them on probation and took away a couple visits. uNC fought it the whole way.
