Talked to someone who directly talked to a players parent within the last couple of days. Parent told them Scott had said to "TOTALLY tune out all the noise you're hearing, nobody knows anything this time around and they won't until the announcement is made". Sounds like this parent felt very confident in Scott's stance and thinks it will be a great hire and felt like things might be done. Now obviously Scott will be sending that message, but I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope that we're heading for a good ending to this drama. Hoping beyond hope that this is 100% true. I have no reason to think you're lying but you're relatively new here (as am I, not throwing shade) so I have to take it with a grain of salt. Chris007 1

Baylor is going to have $10m in NIL next year. That’s INSANE. Not saying that this is true, but I’ve been in the new arena and practice facility. He has it made down in Waco, he was never a candidate. Waco has money down there, Baylor Basketball goes hand in hand with Church there. thebigweave and JPCIVOP 2

IUHAHN81 Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 Remember when RTZ posted the "We got him" video. Then the "It's dead" post. Followed by the Undertaker GIF? Thinking about setting up a doc appointment to get on some mood stabilizers. Geez Louise! Ctf9, JPCIVOP, HoosierSadaseci and 2 others 4 1

I suspect with the rev share starting next year they are quoting NIL + rev share. Still, that has to be top-5ish, wow. go iu bb and JPCIVOP 2

OliviaPope40 Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 Did not see anybody hanging out at IU Bloomington Hospital doing a tour. Was down close to campus today. No Gallo or Leal sighting either.
#1fanofafrin Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 From the earlier coach poll we had the following results; If you had to pick one of these three, who would it be? I like Buzz a great deal, but lean Ben to possible upside.

When someone like RTZ quotes $7M NIL, I'm not sure if that is just NIL or NIL + rev share. NIL alone likely. Most men’s programs are going to allocate 5 - 8 million in revenue sharing. Rest to Football, WBB, on rev sports. lillurk 1

Headline says 8 coaches have rejected IU after Woody announcement. This guy did absolutely no reporting on his own. It's all coming from someone named Joe Tipton. Let's break it down. Our top target was Dusty May, who just re-upped with Michigan. Then we went after Drew and Otzelberger, who are happy in their current situations. Then he mentions Chris Beard -- and the sordid debate that creates. Then Buzz Williams "has been mentioned" -- but his interest is minimal. Greg McDermott "might have interest, but it appears Indiana hasn't pursued him yet." He then says that leaves us with two candidates: McCollum and Brownell. So, those are the eight who've "rejected" us. First of all, Beard has not rejected us. Williams has not rejected us. McDermott has not rejected us -- and neither have McCollum and Brownell. Maybe you could say May did "reject" us by signing the Michigan extension, but I'm not so sure Drew and Otz have "rejected" us. One guy signs an extension at his current school -- and that means 8 guys rejected us. What an asinine piece of garbage. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/historic-college-program-takes-major-setback-as-8-coaches-reject-indiana-after-mike-woodson-s-exit/ar-AA1AIoQo?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=baf9b0169bc74ef3ac932e74d42fdabc&ei=24 EssentiallySports is a garbage site and shouldn't be taken seriously.
