That’s because he had a skilled criminal defense attorney!

And if you post personal attacks like “grow up” against any poster again, including doing so at a moderator, both Indyresident16 and your current handle will reside in the BtownBanners dustbin.

Breaking an NCAA rule isn’t a crime. I thought you were a lawyer? Ouch.

A realist wouldn't talk about Wade in conjunction with the IU job.

But it’s not nearly as depressing as talking about Ben McCollum or Brad Brownell. Lord have mercy on either of their souls if they get hired here.

You have no basis for saying that about McCollum. Shame on you for the character assassination. Grow up. LoL

We ain't gonna be doing any revisiting (or visiting, for that matter) of Mark Pope.

Dude is head-over-heels, helplessly, hopelessly in love with the University of Kentucky.

As long as they want him, he ain't going anywhere.

Why Mark Pope left med school for a $24,000 job with UGA basketball

I wasn’t inferring that he was going to leave voluntarily lol.

At least McCollum has won national championships. Also most of the all time greats started at a low level and then got their power conference program

Do you really mean that, or are you just trying to appease @Stuhoo???

LOL

I think he is a really good coach. I like him at Cleveland St.   he can relate with the younger generation and he has put his time in.  Hamilton isn’t a bad coach to learn from

1. If a guy is guilty of breaking the rules to the point that he gets fired and has a show cause, you really think he won’t find a way to break whatever rules exist now?

2. For a guy you claim is so smart, he was really dumb to allow himself to have conversations recorded that led to his demise.

3. For a university that has consistently shown that optics are important, your pushing Wade down everyone’s throats shows you aren’t reading the situation correctly.

4. For a poster who has pretty much alienated himself from almost everyone on this board, you certainly don’t know how to read the room. Either that, or your comment that Wade doesn’t care what people think of him applies to you as well…

Wait a minute. Are you Will Wade?

I’m not doubting McCollum’s ability to draw up a play or execute X’s and O’s.

I want IU to hire someone who will succeed here. I thought that’s what we all universally want?

Will Wade is one of the few coaches capable of succeeding here that would actual take the IU job.

By the way @AH1971, when @Home Jersey quotes your “Grow up” personal attack and follows it with an lol? That is not a rules violation; that is simply echoing that you are acting inappropriately. @Home Jersey is a class act.

On the other hand… say you just tried to report @Home Jersey to me for violating board rules? That would have been a baaaad thing to do.

So there’s a different set of rules for different posters?

Interesting and noted.

There is one set of rules.

Every poster reacts to them differently and every situation is different. The mods collectively interpret the rules.

Now back to the Coaching Candidates/Dennis Gates Appreciation thread
