Smith played for Archie for 3 years? Not trying to argue with you.. just saying they've seen someone leave and have success and that could be a motivation for them to test the waters when there is so much uncertainty around our program. And there's almost no consequence this year anyway.

Student section is going to be baddddd next year if the team stinks. It was bad before the pandemic and our program has only gotten worse since then. The football student section should be good though!

We do need to get this show on the road soon though.  Yeah, the transfer market is there to be taken advantage of this year, problem is, all but 16 teams are done playing this year and anyone with a coach is already reaching out to guys.  We're a ship adrift at sea at the moment. 

Yes, patience, we want the right guy.  But I don't want to lose 2 or 3 years to rebuild because we sat around too long.  At this point, whomever the hire is better be someone from a list where they have not been completely available for weeks.  Like if it is truly a player being looked at, f-ing hire him already.  If we are waiting on someone, I hope we have some real assurances of interest.  Every day that ticks by puts the next guy at a disadvantage to every other coach who is already in place.

Don’t we want transfer players that are good enough to ply for those Sweet 16?  Those players are waiting to see what their options are

If it's Calbert, I'd imagine we know in the next 3-4 days if not sooner. Why wait?  Same for Woodson and Beilein - what are they waiting for?

I'm still guessing Beard. Don't believe Scott didn't reach out - unless there's something we don't know about him, that would be absolutely nuts to not send out a feeler. 

We also know the players have no idea either or they wouldn't be mentioning potentially coming back and TJD would have made a decision. You'd think if Scott knew who he was hiring, the players would be one of the first to find out.
