You keep saying this. What are the past hires in which we've chosen a mediocre proven coach over a good coach with issues?

I don’t think Brownell is the right move whatsoever. I think his ceiling at IU is the same as Crean’s was. Maybe a smidge lower. Hope that isn’t the case that we get him.

Sure.

I fell into the Woodson justification after initial disappointment.  But my enthusiasm for the program has dropped so far that I need to feel confident in the choice - not just hopeful or willing to wait and see.  It's sad, but until officially kicked in the nutz, I remain optimistic that this will be the redemption.

We have a couple of candidates who want the IU job and who a lot believe would win big here…the question is, will we bypass them to hire someone a lot more uncertain…it certainly would be the Indiana thing to do.
