I guess I don't find it so surprising that they're supposedly meeting with Beard.

His basketball profile is worth doing due diligence on. 

So if you believe they're actually meeting with Beard, and he ends up not becoming the coach, at least people won't be able to claim IU is too "holy" for their own good.

And Jeff Rabjohns is already hedging; talking about how much of a 'no' he has been. Now saying it's a maybe 20% possibility. This is a fun pastime...

Beard has always been a viable candidate. Let’s see what comes of it…they’re certainly not saying he’s going to be the next Coach…but this should dispel any notion that Beard has no chance…

Agree. And at the same time, it should dispel the notion that IU is so much "holier than thou"

They're giving him a look with eyes wide open regardless of his alleged off-court issues.
