Has there been any other comments from Stevens denying interest?  Surely I missed another comment but was out for the evening and playing catchup now. Not sure why everyone has given up.

At almost 60 years old, I choose to believe the trolls are accurate. Because if they are not, well, there are dregs for that. 

I'm with you. I am questioning in my head why other media outlets are not all over this. Yes, a couple places (SI and Insidethehall) are reporting the original quote, but most are completely avoiding it. For example, unless I missed it, I haven't heard Benetti or Hummel bring it up at all during the broadcast of the game. I also haven't seen it come across ESPN, CBS sports, etc. Seems like too big of news to not say anything at all.

The other "insiders" are trying to  concoct an excuse.  "Well, the contract was sent, but then the Celtics found out so BS panicked...yadda yadda yadda...."  

Don't believe any of their crap.  I do give Isac credit for at least coming back to post.  The others are hiding out.

They haven’t said anything since the Goodman tweet, but before that tweet, they were pretty optimistic. I’m guessing they will not be posting anything after today’s fiasco. Don’t blame them at all

Yeah -- I thought it was interesting that Isaac said he's still hearing what Chris and Yeagley are hearing. 

But we don't know what, if anything, they're hearing -- because they're not posting. 

There is a game going on, so that could be why. 

I'm not blaming anything on them; I'm just kinda curious as to their take on what happened.

I’m 100% in this camp.  He’s the most sure thing out there.

If we’ve learned anything about the last two searches [in regard to stevens] it’s that it went EXACTLY the same way both times. The only thing missing from this time, is that our refusal to drop the delusion hasn’t led to a more convincing “masshole” denial from Stevens. Keep up the belief and that should be happening within the next week or two.

Stevens said “I thoroughly appreciate being a Celtic and love the people I get to work with everyday”. Then he supposedly said he is not a candidate for the job but it is not a definite no and is interestingly not quoted.

Why settle? If Cronin is the best option, sure, but does anyone really believe that he is? Well, now that I think about it we had many pages of BS about BS, so maybe we are that gullible. Hire the best guy you can find. Spoiler alert: Brad Stevens doesn't want the job, so it's not him. 

Because if we can't get may who else is there. Iu won't touch beard or pearl. He is that next tier.

We don't know that to be absolute though either. How do you know RMK didn't tell him about the pinnacle of cbb at IU when they were at TT together? Maybe he always thought IU was a better job than Texas and that was a stepping stone.

We just don't know, but one thing we do know is he wants the job and would do well here!

I'm not saying he isn't a risk, but I would be willing to risk it for the reward he could reap.
