Need to start looking at mid major coaches if it’s true we took a big swing on stevens and whiffed. You can’t poach high level guys with the pitch “you were our 3rd choice!”

His first couple seasons at Cincy were rough but other than that with Cronin you are going to make the tourney pretty much every year and your team is going to play really hard and good defense.   He is considered a top 20 coach in today’s game by some outlets.   He is a good coach he just rubs people the wrong way.   He has a Martinsville native that has been on his staff since his Cincy days.  TJ Wolf started out as a video coordinator back in the day and his on Cronins staff in some capacity

Sure buddy.  Just like the other "insiders" with all of their information.  Hopefully people don't believe these rumors from the "insiders."  They are awfully quiet after their news got debunked.  You won't hear from them all night.  Take what they say as fun "maybes."

I agree.  Since Stevens is out of the way, 1) May and 2) Beard.
I honestly think it will be May, I said that about 2 weeks ago before this BS smoke got me side tracked 

I will take him. I feel longer odds than stevens. I mean if we do get dusty what a horrible way to go about it. Waiting a year? If you are may huge gamble leaving

Agree with you on the first point, I don’t really think he is realistic, but I’d disagree with the second. No one is gonna fault us for going after Brad Stevens and Dusty if they don’t happen and we move on. It’s a huge job no matter what some of the national media types would like to make people believe.

Now on to the real search. That’s the benefit of BS saying no so quickly. Michigan is trying to give May more money. Now Dolson can zero in and work a deal with his agent being the top candidate. Michigan has deep pockets, but will they spend what it takes to keep him if IU spends like a top basketball school?

I still think it's Stevens, but Tony Bennett is not working.  Hire Bennett along with a GM that handles the NIL bullcr@p and we would be a consistent winner.

He might.  Reports are out the UCLA is lacking in the NIL department even being in LA.   He had to go out and raise money for NIL and from reports from not just message boards he wasn’t too happy about it.  If he goes to IU he won’t have to pull teeth to get money.   Buy out seems to be the bigger problem with him
