I meant to respond to you earlier, but McDermott would be a triple in my opinion or maybe even an inside the park home run. He’d win a ton here. I hope Dolson kicks the tires on him.

Cronin is a real solid coach who would win a lot of games here. He just has an abrasive personality that turns a lot of fans off.

Board ‘insiders’ feed us juicy, fried rumor after juicy, fried rumor. We beg em for more. Then once we’re 400 pounds and waiting for the final double-fried Oreo of confirmation…a media member quickly disproves the whole thing and laughs at us. “Not a candidate” is just wild stuff

If we really need to court a HC like this to make them want to coach at IU than F@#& em! I want someone that loves college basketball, a grinder, wants to be here, and is a winner!
We need a winner i don't care if he is the devil himself if he wins!

I agree.  Since Stevens is out of the way, 1) May and 2) Beard.

I honestly think it will be May, I said that about 2 weeks ago before this BS smoke got me side tracked

He is high on the Peegs hot board so there is some smoke there for him to jump onto the top when he wasn’t even on the first 2 posted.  Once he was high on the hot board I started posting about him more.   I’ve always liked him.  His offense is fun to watch

Feel like I’ve been taking crazy pills that no one wants a coach who has won nearly 70% of his games and March success at the P4 level. People are really hand waving Beards baggage then saying Cronin is an ******* so I don’t want him. Cronin would never miss the tournament and have us in the hunt for the B1G every year. It’s crazy to me how much of a sure thing he is if the goal is to win a bunch of basketball games.

The rumors are fun but this is why I said I would believe it when I see it happen, concerning Stevens. 
 

Now on to the real search. That’s the benefit of BS saying no so quickly. Michigan is trying to give May more money. Now Dolson can zero in and work a deal with his agent being the top candidate. Michigan has deep pockets, but will they spend what it takes to keep him if IU spends like a top basketball school?
