My buddy from Marion was best friends with them. They both were always at parties, drinking and blazin' up....lol

I didn't look up every one of his teams, but I did capture his first championship year ('16-'17), the 31-1 Covid season ('19-'20) and the last of his 4 championship years ('21-'22). The '16-'17 team averaged 78.4 points per game The '19-'20 team averaged 83.1 points per game The '21-'22 team averaged 76.1 points per game While those may not be vintage Loyola Marymount scoring averages, they certainly aren't vintage Tony Bennett either. What they show to me is that he has the ability to adapt to the personnel he has. This year's Drake team may be more deliberate, but that is likely McCollum changing his preferred style in order to win games (which is what he should do). The tempo argument is a shaky one, at best. If anything, it strengthens his resume. The man wins, and has the ability to change his style in order to do so. https://bearcatsports.com/sports/2014/4/29/mbbstatsarchive.aspx You are gonna die on McCollum hill my friend! :) Address my concern - I don't give a rat's @$$ about style of play because if he's the real deal he will adjust his style of play immediately if and as warranted. This is a guy that is/has never been associated with any P5 program at any time, has only been in any way associated with a D1 program for 23 games, has never played against a ranked team, has never beaten a team in the NET top 40, is at a program with almost zero NIL (that's why he needed to bring a bunch of D2 players in), is coaching at a school with no football has never dealt with major boosters, agents, or media attention has never managed a large staff or organization So let's agree that he is an outstanding on-court technician and off-court culture-setter and motivator. Can't we also agree that Indiana will have innumerable choices of similarly talented on-court technicians, albeit ones with on-court success against the best teams in the nation, and ones who have success in addressing every single bullet point I listed? cybergates, lillurk and taco corp 3

Without question, Beard is a good coach. In a situation like this, though, you MUST get the guy who is a good FIT. Bringing him in would equate to putting a square peg in a round hole. People won’t like hearing it but if he is not chosen, it’s not because IU is holier than thou. It’s because the guy ruined opportunities for himself by having a problem with drinking and getting violent. Look people have vices and can perform at a high level consistently but those people are outliers. In many cases they are ticking time bombs between incidents. People make mistakes and yes believing in second chances is good, that doesn’t mean he gets this particular chance. He’s blown that for himself (in all likelihood). Stuhoo Posted February 10 Posted February 10 https://www.instagram.com/bigtennetwork/reel/DF2swHJO0kw/ Okay - this video is awesome and really telling. You guys tired of "Coach Grandpa?" There are only three coaches in this reel who suggested a halftime show that isn't hopelessly dated: The brutal and brutally honest Mick Cronin, who couldn't give a **** Danny Sprinkle, who got it down to a 31 year old country singer who has used racial slurs And the pride of Greene County Dusty May, who flat out nailed it with neo-hip-hop soul youngster Rod Wave. I love an older guy who remains inquisitive and finds excellent new things in this world - there are so many! PS; props to Woody for sticking with his Gap Band Grandpa soul roots lol Home Jersey, lillurk, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 1 1 3

By now everyone knows Beards background. I just think other things can be discussed instead of debating whether a guy should or shouldn’t be hired for 10 straight days when it’s not even about basketball. Your point would be more valid if you weren't posting about Beard and the DV and the posting about Beard's DV yourself.
