Ok, if the finances are the thing, I am volunteering my services to take over the program. I make roughly 5% of what Archie makes and I feel sure I would be at least 8% the Coach. So the math works. Additionally, my offense would be at minimum 1,000,000% more interesting to watch. Sure, the last time I was on a sideline Reagan was President, but my back is way better than Matta’s.

1,000,000% more interesting = THE GRINNELL SYSTEM?!?!?!

Oh hell yeah. Tell me you wouldn’t want to see the look on Greg Gard’s face as we’re continuing to give him layups but he doesn’t want them because they’re too early in the shot clock.

For the guys that think IU needs to pay a great amount of money for the next coach maybe they will. But there will be coaches with resumes who will be interested that won’t require a big contract to start with. I would encourage everyone to listen to the Hoosier hysterics podcast with Brian Evans. Brian talks about when Cal wanted the job and it shows just how incompetent the IU administration was when Sampson and Crean got hired and also how some coaches view certain jobs. I would also say you could skip ahead to the part about Cal because it was a long podcast.

We’d score over 70 points in a game and get a strongly worded letter from the B1G offices.

My biggest issue with Romeo was how he was used and that wasn't his fault. Standing in the corner all the time on offense and doing nothing. Franklin got used at times like that this year. That's a coaching decision that I don't understand.

Kind of like Leal standing wide open on the wing begging for the ball and Al, Rob, or Franklin driving into the lane, forcing up a wild shot and never passing it back out.

I heard a rumor Brad Stevens was on Kirkwood on Sunday!

Lol...yep, unless there’s some actual legitimacy to the rumor that guy said he heard, it definitely seems like one that’s pretty easy to falsely start knowing Matta is Archie’s mentor and good friend, but I guess you never know. People who think it could be true are saying Archie could just be tired of the losing and seems defeated, thinking it could be best for both sides to move on. I do agree that Archie has looked at times downright depressed, but a part of me still thinks he isn’t the type of guy to step away from something this big on his own...I guess we’ll see.

Please be true. Fresh start would be good for both sides.

I think there’s a decent chance Archie resigns.

Sticking around a sinking ship isn’t very ideal for a young basketball coach who wants to stay in coaching for the rest of his life. He’s not the type of guy to get into selling insurance or homes. He loves basketball.

It would be in his best interest to step away and avoid damaging his career even more.

He's still only 42. Maybe he goes back to a mid major program and has a lot of success with some adjustments to his system. He'd probably get another shot at coaching at big time program.

I fully expect Baylor up his contract this summer. Especially since they are suppose to be good. We’ll see what Baylor does in March.

That’s why we gotta hope Baylor fizzles out in the tournament. I’m talking a big first weekend loss.
