Well you hope being on DD show isn't an indication about the IU job because Fran was on his local show today

Or maybe Dakich just inquired about having him on since Goodman mentioned him in the search.  It's good press for McCollum regardless of whether or not he is a candidate as it makes him look wanted on the national scene.

Yup! And there’s total plausible deniability because as you guys said… just a coach doing an interview on a sports show. That happens to have a heavily IU audience. Not saying it’s a big deal in anyway…

I mean I get it and I would say I'm in the camp of wanting to believe its a big name, fish, whale, mammal whatever we are calling it now but their is just absolutely 0 tangible evidence that suggests that's the case.

I was hopefully about today but I think if it was a big name NOT coaching then we would know by now maybe I'll give a little bit more belief till the end of the day tomorrow / Thursday morning but I'm hopping on the realism train.

I don't think there would be as much of a keep quiet if its Devries, not that I'm saying he could be well and capable to coach. Just seeing the noise from all the previous hirings don't see it.

I don’t think he was on many people’s top 5 list when this search started and he was probably on very few people’s top 10s so I don’t think that is where the hate is coming from.

Exactly, mention some mid-major coaches, "IU has to get a P4 coach!"  DeVries and Brownell are two P4 coaches are mentioned who have done a very good job and are light years above what IU has had for the last 8 years. "Those guys suck!!!" I personally think that Michigan, Louisville, and UK showed last year what was going to happen here.  The fact that IU would get a P4 coach while they didn't should say something.  I say let's sign one of them and LET"S GO BABY!!!!
